I found out that the Red 84 FB I put the clutch in was sold to a guy who maybe owns or works at the Precision Tune in Mooresville. Sucks the people didn't give me a chance to buy that one! Wonder where I got the urge for the Snypers?

Yeah I can be up there like tomorrow sometime or sunday. Tomorrow I can have the rebuild kit in hand at 7:30am (like I am getting up then...). Let me know when you are gonna rebuild it. I tried rebuilding before and it turned out not so good (2000 min idle). I would like to get some lessons in on that.

Shhhhhhhhhhhh, she had school today. This Nikki is a Sam's Performance Racing Modded Nikki, with a rebuild of course. I am trying to convince Stu that the 45 OER and the manifold he has is way too much for a stockport. He gets this SPR special on there, and I don't know if he will ever go back to a 2 - barrel!

 

i'll be honest, for a stock port 12a the nikki does exceptionally well.... especially when the plate is overbored and has larger butterflies and you make it flow alot more cfm. but for the cost it's better to rock a good holley

i agree tho sam, slap that nikki on his car and he will be so much happier.





oh.. so far so good on the FC been driving it around a little so it should make it out this weekend. i don't think i'll go to the rock haha

You guys..............I sent Stu those pics too. I hope he likes the work. I know he will love the driveability he will get back. I told him not to get rid of his side draft, just hang on to it, untill he gets an engine that can make good use of it .

So Zac.........think you can hook me up on a S4/S5 3" downpipe? I really didn't want to buy a new one, but some people are nuts on what they want for their used ones. I know you don't want to hear this, but RotorSports has them on their site for $120. Some guy just tried to sell me a used one for $110!

 

actually rotorsports advertises it for 125.00 yes... but that site hasn't been updated in years and you can actually get it cheaper ordering directly from racing beat's website.

i had one but it's actually on my TII at the moment until i put the T70 back on. if you still need it when i pull it off ( dont know when that will be ) then i'll take like 50 bucks for it. other than that man, i would just go directly thru racingbeat.com

 

Why yes, I am happy! Sam was quite surprised as well, and I had a little smirk on my face the whole time. On the way home a guy in a civic eeched up next to me after I opened the secondaries for a few seconds. Get this: He asked me if I liked my Vtec! SERIOUSLY. He must have thought I was a 1982 Honda S1146 or something... lol.

Great times, love the carb. And FYI, I am keeping the carb and manifold for my next project. I wish I could afford ITBs and a MS. I would rock that hard.

 

Hey Zac.........cough that downpipe up! I hate to buy a new one knowing I will have to cut two inches out of the middle and reclock it for the FB. Sucks buying a new part, cutting it up, and rewelding it before it goes on the car. Wouldn't be the first time. So Stu...................how was the ride home? Like butter I presume? Didn't believe the power of the Nikki could cause such excitement. Did you? Gotta love them four barrels!

 

It was wonderful. I drove home, then to a friends place, and the gym. Normally, that would mean about 1/2 a tank, but I think I am a little over 1/4 down.

Also I think the guy was being sarcastic about the vtec thing. Dunno, honda guys around here arn't known to be the brightest. You saw them when you came up here that wednesday. Haha. Memories.

Way ahead of you there..........Maybe I can get some boost headed Stu's way if he is game for it. I already hooked you up with a boost prepped Nikki, minus jetting of course. All you need the fuel pump, regulator, and exhaust flanges. That S-4 turbo you have would make a nice addition to that FB of yours! You know what it's like to get strapped in a FB boosting..........now don't ya?

 

Hey guys, got good news. Me and a friend that lives here on campus are gonna bring out our 7's at the next meet. I am bringin my SA and he will be bringin his 87 TII. I cant wait i get to drive it all week down here in charlotte :-). so if you see a blue SA rollin around make sure to say whats up!

Haha. I will see what I can do. I am in the middle of some porting ideas, and the whole FP/ Regulator/ Exhaust is more of an easier said than done thing. I will need to upgrade to a 2.5" exhaust atleast to run some good boost like you.


Your FB makes me , I would hate to see what would happen if I bridge my engine, then turbo and TII tranny/rear end it...

 

Oh and since I got the nikki on, I will be cruising around. If I see a blue, I will be sure to honk one at ya
