It's about time Zac. I have been chopping at the bit to check that second gen out. I finally got all my paper work straightend out on the SA. I am going to the DMV tommorow to get the tittle and tag. I decided screw it, I'm going to go ahead and put the SA on the road for a while. If the Mooresville area is cool with everone, we will use that area for our future get togethers. Hopefully it won't be another 6 months before we do it again.

Dude! What the hell! Man I hate to hear that kind of stuff. I hope it is being taken care of by his insurance!

Ya damn right that trucking companies insurance will take care of it. I'll make damn sure of that. Believe it or not, the damage wasn't near as bad as it could have been... I was able to reverse a little bit until the a$$hole behind me just sat there and kept me from escaping damage. So a little paint and a new front emblem and it will be right as rain!

Was you in the 3rd gen you had at the meet? Either way, I would have had an *** whipping in store for that clown. I'm glad it wasn't anything real major. I would still insist that there was some engine or turbo damage caused by the incident. Get some funds together to put some beast under the hood .

Yep... the FD I brought to the meet... As tempting as it would be to insist on some "other" damage, I just couldn't do that. I just want it to be put back the way it was before. I'm actually running out in a few mins. to get an estimate... If they happen to say its gonna need a new bumper and a completely new paint job... then hey... I'll be happier than hell! Can someone say 99 Spec? ha ha

did that happen before I came up to pick up my car? You should definitely get a bumper and a paint job out of it!

If you want to get to run them tomorrow let me know. I still don't want to push it too hard, but with the PFC in, its running like a champ. I kicked the back end out yesterday morning pulling out of my neighborhood.

I saw a red 3rd gen out on the streets yesterday. I honked, but I don't think he/she heard me. Anyone drive a red third gen around Independence Blvd and W T Harris?

Why don't we make it monthly and settle on a Sunday (or some other day) of each month, like always on the 2nd Sunday or something? That way we can bank on a certain day to schedule it. Maybe even settle on a place ( could be ocharlies )?

Just a thought, I'm just a new guy here.

That works for me here. The Old Guy's meet is like that, they have a good turnout. Sounds like a good plan.

That's what we tried before, every 3rd Saturday of the month. But we can try again and see what happens. Pick a day and a place. O'Charley's seemed to work. If that's ok with you guys .

Ha ha... Thats an appropriate name.... I just might make it a custom license plate tag.

I would say Sunday meets would be much more convenient, but Saturdays are just as good. Right now I have my Army obligations on every 3rd weekend of the month (Oct. 19-21 this month)... Hope to see you guys/ (hopefully girls too) again soon. Hell... who am I kidding? I just want to see your cars again.

Hey Scott... When would you like to meet up and run the FDs? I'll go easy on you in "el Bumpo"... ha ha

not fair....how much boost are you running again...as i limp along breaking in my engine under 4500rpms.

My boss said he saw a red FD in Myers Park last week, maybe VR, with a dark tint on the windows and aftermarket rims. He couldn't be anymore specific other than saying it almost looked like a ferrari. Any ideas who it could be?

I'm up for a monthly meet...definitely. Saturdays and Sundays are both fine for me. Next week should work, but i may be going to the race Sunday.

Don't worry... I'll lock it in (L) with the hold button to give you a chance.

I really don't know anyone else with an FD that drives. There are a ton of 1st Gens and a handful of 2nd Gens I see rolling around all over the state. (Kudos to those owners) I've got a buddy in Kings Mtn. that has a VR and a BB FD... both down.. and a White 2nd gen Turbo... down. ha ha...

This weekend I could only come Saturday. Sunday a bunch of us are going riding bikes through the mountains. Yes, some of us own bikes too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrloQ6X7HeU Just threw that one out there for you. Next weekend I will be treking back from Daytona Biketoberfest. After that, I'm not sure. But this Saturday we could do an inprompto meet. I think the next time, I'll drag the SA out .

Don't think I can make saturday but I don't know yet. Sunday is always a better day for me. I'm supposed to have vistors Saturday and other stuff going on. Won't know more until later in the week. So far Sunday is ok for me.

I would vote for 2nd sunday each month and see how it flies. Maybe starting in Nov. Looking at the calendar it avoids a lot of the holidays through the year. Next time enough of us get together we can discuss it and come to some agreement.

either day now works for me...i bailed on my race tickets and have a friend coming in town.

I'll probably try to swing by you guys at Intense sometime later in the week after work to put on the Diff Brace. I got up under the car again on Sunday and tried to get the PPF bolts loose but still no luck...hopefully you can get it with an air gun.
