Well, I was actually thinking Saturday afternoonish. But if the general census Is Sunday, It would have to be in the afternoon. I have a friend of mine at work who's neighbor is wanting to get rid of a pretty nice 87 GXL with a blown engine. I can probably get it for less than $500. I found a 87 base with a SDJ Motorsports reman in it that the body looks like it's been through Beruit for probably $500. Voila, next track car! Any gen RX7 is welcome in this crowd. If you can't bring your rex for what ever reason, but would like to meet up with us anyway, that's okay to. I think we can get a good group together, respark our local. I look forward to meeting you guys.

 

Oh man....I don't think I can make it this weekend. I got tickets to the Panthers game sunday, and it looks like I'm going to be out of town most of the day Saturday. If something changes and I can get back here in time on Saturday or if I'm sober enough to drive after the panthers game sunday, I'm in.

Post where you're meeting, so I can get there if possible.

 

So it looks like Sunday may be the day? That gives everyone somewhat of enough time to get plans set out, instead of having just one day. Name the time and place and I will be there. Sunday's good for me. There's a guy lives in my neighborhood, I think he has an FD, I'll check and see if he's up for it as well.

 

I am going to make an exutive decision. I'm thinking around 3:00 pm'ish Sunday. I am also thinking Moorsville area. Say, TGI Fridays, or O'Charleys? I'll check back on the thread tommorow. If any of you guys are unfamiliar with the area, just give me a PM, and I'll give you my number.

 

I might be able to make that, but I'm planning on running in the drag race Sunday afternoon. I think they start racing around noon. I just want to make a cameo appearance and get a few runs in and then cut out to meet up with you guys. O'Charleys has got my vote. Either that or Round Robin? They have some badass burgers. mmmmmm.....

I would like to thank all the guys who decided to come out and meet the rest of the crew today. I think we had a pretty good turn out, all things considered. After most of the guys cut out, Stu, t g farrell, and myself decided to romp the back roads for a while. After t g farrell decided to head on home, Stu and myself decided to have a little interstate fun. I got a nice little vid of a killer flame Stu shot. I hope we can all do it again soon guys.

It was fun to meet everyone. Hopefully we can do it again real soon. I followed Stu in the first part of the romp for fun and the flames never stopped. I had to make sure to give him enough room so my front bumper didn;t get singed :-)

 

I was holding the camera at first, and I couldn't down shift! So I handed the camera off, for safe driving of course. I'm glad we got a chance to get the sevens out and play. I'm really impressed on Stu's flame job.

 

It was fun meeting you guys. You all have some of the nicest 1st Gens I've seen. Now if only we could add a few 3rd gens....

+1 for 2nd Gens too! Those are really starting to grow on me too. I might have to get a 1st & 2nd Gen some day. I swear these cars are an addiction... I'm just waiting for it to be published in some medical journal. ha ha
