It went pretty good aside from the downpour of rain we had from 7-11:30...literally it stopped raining as they started putting the first group of cars into grid. And since there were only enough ppl for 2 groups of cars nobody could get any pics till Jimi showed up at 2ish when the 2nd group (mine and louie's) was starting/finishing the 3rd run. I was a brave soul too...drove from maryville to the event on my slicks with only 25psi of pressure on all corners, and forgot a coat. So not only did I get soaked while running back and forth from tech and sign in and ****, I also had some awesome rain grip/rooster tails until i got to the kingston pike exit on pellissippi....went from doing 100+ down to 50ish cuz the whole car felt unstable from the next rain spasm.
Though I felt that I could have pushed the car just a bit harder had I put 30-35psi into the tires, since it was gripping very well despite the conditions.

Hopefully Jimi will get some pics up, I took a few after it was all done, but he stayed later to do fun runs while i went back to fix the widebody again and to get my street tires and head home for the night.

no sir i did not. i sold it to a guy who lives in maryland, when i had the rx it was in leesburg va. unfortunetly i never got to bring it down here, seeing as how she died one day and never started again. so no i did not sell/trade it to anybody down here. the guy who bought it wanted a parts car for his 85 gsl, but when he saw how nice my body was (rx) he deciced to make his gsl the parts car. man my gs was mint, no rips in the seats no cracks in the dash no rust anywhere. with a new paint job that thing would have look like showroom material. im kicking my *** for selling it for 1000 bucks with 63,000 miles on the engine. sniff sniff, tear.

That GTU looks really nice. I'd hold on to that one.

Autocross was much fun today, even though neither of my cars were up to competing. I still had a good time weighing down everyone's cars all day. It was cool to actually get to ride. The camera is still out in the car, so I'll have to get that tomorrow. Derrick, you missed the after-party. Although you don't drink you could've laughed at the rest of us, especially me. And I even recall some pizza at some point.

I heard about that Jason, very sad. You're not welcome here anymore! Kidding of course... you need to come hang with us this summer sometime! What are you driving now?

A-Cups, didn't see your GS when I was up there last month.

what part of maryland did you go to? i was thinking about calling the guy who bought it and see if he found out what was wrong with it. and if he got it fixed then i might try to beg him to give it back or at least drive it around a bit. but it would be pretty sweet if i bought it back from him.

Yeah, I know that guy with the silver fb. He traded the purple fc for a 300zx I think it is. Anyway after he traded I asked him what happened and he told me he just traded it just so on.. And I asked if he wanted to get rid of his fb and he said it was his most reliable vehicle so no.

Oh yeah and does anyone know if a rx-8 alternator will fit on an fc? I'd guess it'd be digger than an FD alt. Maybe not big enough to matter though.. If not I found a super alternator made by rotaryshack.

Welp... went through my fuses again today, looks like I missed one that was blown. Good ol' engine fuse. Probably would've helped to have that little diagram cover over the fuse box, I guess. So the TII is "running" again, although roughly since I had the CAS out. Now I just need to time it and it should be good to go!

Oh, and I went from D.C. to Delaware so I just passed through. There's a lot of RX-8's up there.

Nothing embarrassing... it's the girlfriend's duty to have more expensive vehicles.

Haha... what every RX-7 owner needs - a tow vehicle. Speaking of towing, I got the timing set on the TII and it seems to be running well, so I'm about to go drive it around. So someone be standing by with their phone and a rope for when I need to be pulled home again.

Everything seems to be good with the TII. Not sure what blew the fuse, but I'm betting it had something to do with the fact it was old enough to buy alcohol. Now I can finally enjoy driving it with no bucking or stalling and all that jazz. We'll see how long it lasts this time! Tomorrow the Cheeto's brake master cylinder should be in, so with any luck I'll be back to two drivable 7's.

Yeah man, get your *** over here. If I'm not out under the Cheeto, then give me a call. If I am out under the Cheeto, then for Santa's sake, push the jack under there and get it off of me!

Some guy just offered me an FJ1200 for the Cheeto... that bike has the same power output as the 12A! Yikes. A tad bit big for me, I think.

And yeah thanks NOFiend, I went through 'em once but was kind of in a hurry to get the car out of the middle of the street. Coulda saved myself a lot of trouble if I had been more careful.

Least it was a good event, though there are several things I need to change for the next pellessippi run, like tire pressures and maybe even my fuel adjustments. But great runs guys, sucks we were the only rotards there, though in retrospec at least I beat out the porche 944 that was running in CSP with me <.<

Yeah Derrick I hate to rain on your parade but I pulled better raw times than the 944 at William Blount in the Cheeto
