East Tennessee Rotary Club
Ah yes got the mazdaspeed strut bar on the way . Anyone lookin to go up to Bristol with us saturday ? If so let me know cause I would like to get a house or room to party in saturday night . Maybe we can all pitch in and rent a house or something . Pa pa pa PPPIIISHHHH!!!!!!!
So I got 9-10 complaints, acording to the guy that worked at the gas station on the NC side. It was after my 2nd run on the way over. Apparently I made some bikers mad.
I was in my lane the whole time all I did was sqeel the tires a lot.
That was the run that I was right behind the r32, r34, widebody twin tourbo vert 300zx, me, then Lightning. I got pased by the lightning before gravity cavity. The 300 passed both skylines and was keeping up with fast bikes.
Yea then I took it easy on the way back, didn't want to test my luck any more.

I don't see what the big deal was... you were moving fast but staying in your lane. That idiot in the Lightning, on the other hand, was alllll over the place! We saw his poor driving at least twice, and the pics on the photo sites are further proof.
Can anybody help with my swap??
Hey guys...just looking for some help..
I have an 89 tII with a bad motor..
I found a s4 tII motor for cheap and would like to run it while I build up my s5.
Can this be done? Does anybody know what kind of mods I'll need to do to make this work?

I think as far as that swap goes you just use the s4 "Keg" and keep the s5 externals to make it as easy as possible. At least thats how I understand it, but you wont have 'as much' power as you used to and you will more than likely have to run premix since the mechanical s4 OMP may or may not operate with an s5 configuration, which you will also have to plug the s5 electric omp into the plug or else you will run into the ECU limp mode.
But thats just the things i can think of off the top of my head

Hmmm... cross-series swaps like that can be tricky. There's a lot of little differences in there. You'll definitely need the S5 sensors to work with the S5 ECU so I'll go with Derrick on this one, just swap the core.
Ok just did a bit of looking around and i was right, the most effective way to properly swap the s4 t2 engine into the s5 t2 chassis is to use the keg only and swap all your external parts like the intake manifolds/turbo manifold/related gizmo's associated with s5 cars, and either attempt to plug the s5 electric omp into the s4 keg or just plug the omp to the harness and run premix. There is more involved with that lil tidbit im sure but you have to ask some of the guys already doing that thing. So in essence you will have a s5 engine, but you wont have the same internals...and on a side note if you feel froggy and they bolt up right, keep the s4 fuel rails as the pressure regulator can be replaced rather easily as opposed to the welded on s5 pressure regulator.

S4 injectors won't work with a S5 ECU, so I'm guessing you mean to use the S4 rails with the S5 injectors right?
In other news, US129photos.com has the rest of the pics up. Now we're just waiting on Killboy!

Yeah...
Oh boy...
I figured that's what I would do in the first place but just wasn't sure...
On reading more on it...It looks like I'm also going to have to swap the front covers? At least that's what rotary ressurection says...
I wish it was the same...but I just can't stand not driving it anymore.

Everyone and their mama has an intercooler laying around. The injectors are what I'd worry about. And I'm wondering what he means when he says "without the seals."
Hmm... I guess the front plates are different because of the OMP and possibly the water pump. Didn't consider that one. Sounds like a chore just to get it running. I hate to say it but maybe you're better off finding a S5 turbo core.

Here's a link to the area we may be staying. Possibly Fryday!!!

Killboy pics are up!!! Dunno if I'll go to Bristol. I'm not running this weekend but I may ride up with Cody for the day to spectate and photo.
The photographers up there really liked your truck Lou, I'm thinking they want you to pay for some advertising!

Ok...on second thought.
Anybody need a S4 turbo motor?
Forget trying to frankenstein it.
I just need to get a s5 swap so I can still build my original the way I want it, or just rebuild the original one back to normal.
So, if anybody needs a turbo S4 t2 motor or has an S5 t2 or a rebuild for a S5 t2...hit me up.
