need tech tips? ask here! :)
I have a streetported 13 TII engine with a demon 575 carb that I'm putting into my SA. I looking for over 350-400hp with minimal turbo lag because I plan on autocrossing it every now and then. I was looking at a hybrid turbo or a 60-1 with .84 exhaust housing. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks
Caleb

hey rob, this is chris, tan's friend. (stalker, remember?) haha how ya been man? i have a small problem, the car seems to get pretty hot under traffic conditions. i flushed the coolant and replaced the thermostat. i'm thinking the fan isn't drawing enough air. how do i know if the fan is still good or bad?
Hey, I tried unplugging the sending unit, and the gauge still read max. the sending unit is the small round thing right below the oil filter with the 1 wire comming out of it right? Pretty sure that was it. But anyhow, does that mean I gotta replace the gauge cluster? cause i got a spare around here somewhere. thanks btw. Also, what caused all this is just from it sitting for 6 months.
My engine is idling at 3,000 rpm's. In addition the exhaust is making a popping noise, the battery is smoking, and just recently the rpm meter dropped to zero and it is as though the engine is about shut off. any idea on whats wrong and how to fix it???
Thanks
Thanks

your acc cable might me misadjusted is binding , or possibly the cruise control... check that area first
no tach could be the trailing ignitor is bad or ive seen a faulty ignition switch cause no tach reading too..
yea i wanna build my own. i was thinking the tweakit manifolds to convert to fuel injection and using a sec. gen cas for ignition.i have a turbo 2 motor in it now but i wanna do something different. is it a big difference in weight?

the thread size is 12mmX1.5
i sell the metric to A/N style your looking for in either -6 or -8..
with the fuel system you cant overbuild it so bigger is always safer

i have an 89 GTUs with 5k on a rebuild. there is a cold start problem, it wont hold an idle until after it warms up for 5 minutes and even that it fluctuates and stalls, there is 1 vacuum leak in the back of the motor that i have no idea where it runs too. any help would be great. thanks

Greetings from Greece.
I own a convertible S5 FC Turbo II. I have already bought some parts that i am about to install. My engine has 134.000 km. The compression is about 7kg/cm2
These parts are:
80mm downpipe and 76mm complete dual exhaust from Motoria without catalyst.
Front mount intecooler.
Walbro 255 l/h fuel pump
Sard fuel pressure regulator
HKS Air Intake with 3" TID
Magnecor 8.5mm spark plug wires
HKS FCD
HKS PFC F-CON with MAP sensor
So here is my question..
Is my engine safe with this setup??? Can this setup provide enough fuel for the engine??? I am aiming for 10-10,5psi of boost...can i reach this boost level safely with this setup???
Inside the FCON there is a dial...where should i set it???
Also there is a dial on the FCD...where should i set that???
I thank you in advance.

So I'm not sure if I'll get a reply, since the last post on this thread was in February, but Ill try nonetheless.
I have an 84 gsl that I have built a turbo system for. I tried boost prepping the nikki using my vast knowlege of the way they work (hahaha), and ran about 10psi. Just when I had the mixture almost perfect, I lunched the motor due to me being an ignorant idiot about the vacuum advance on the distributor. SO I have another 12A (stock 9.4 to 1), and I am trying to find info on how to turbo prep a DHLA 48 dellorto side draft. I have just finished building a carb hat from stainless, and am making a stainless heat sheild for the racing beat intake....
1. I found a guy on a VW site that makes turbo emulsion tubes for $60 a pair... are they necessary/worth it?
2. I'm pretty sure I can get the jetting figured out using my wideband (any input however is appreciated), but what else do I need to do to turbo prep the carb?

I have a 1988 rx7 se with miles. I just bought it, I'm planing to rebuild but I want to figure out why it won't rev over 3500 rpm first.
Anyone have this problem, possibly a fix?
help I'm a first timer at rx7's
