Unhappy wrecked.

Wrecked my 7 today. Front end smashed. Anybody got a front end I can buy cheap? Or does anybody body want to make me an offer on a 88 vert parts car? (engine untouched). I don't know what I'm going to do with it.

bummed.

That sucks, Emory. Good luck figuring out what route you're going to take. Jason probably has some stuff that would help you rebuild.

other than like normal stuff like maybe exhaust gaskets, or other gaskets that might be bad.

you have to use the S5 turbo exhaust manifold.

and you might want to use the S5 intercooler, it has a bigger intake pipe than the S4 one. you would have to use the S5 rubber elbow going into it too.

you should also port the wastegate while you have the turbo out of the car.

I can't really think of anything else.

there is a how-to on www.fc3spro.com but it seems to be down at the moment. you grind a good bit off of it. in it's stock form it's much to small to handle the re-routing of the exhaust gasses around the hot side of the turbo if you do intake or exhaust upgrades, so you get boost creep and you start boosting much more than you were ever want. at one point my car hit 17 psi. (not good)

It might be worth a trip to crazy rays just outside laurel, MD. They always have complete FC's in there ready for parting. I actually have a 91 na coupe we are parting but someone already has spoken for the front end. If it turns they don't get it by this weekend i will pm you.

good to see all you old guys are still posting. I have been super busy lately. Anyways my Dad is in town with his 04 s600 and this is probably the most amazing car I have ever been in. v12 twin turbo is no joke. I have no question this car will smoke the pants of my RX7. I don't even really want my dinan 7 series anymore now that I have driven this car. 1800 rpms and over 500lbs of tq. Its just rediculious and words cannot explain. And its a 4 door sedan.

Dude, that is total insanity. I'd be afraid to drive that thing.

anyone know a glass shop in the Columbia area that can swap a rear window from one hatch t another. the only thing stopping me from putting my spoiler hatch on is the fact that its window got shattered.

im nostly looking for FAST as in like a couple hours worth of work at most and CHEAP but decent quality

Can't we do it ourselves?

Gasoline melts that sticky stuff, and you can buy new black goop.

my registration is about to be suspended because I havent taken care of emissions

I had some receipts that they said they would take (for a waiver) if I got the originals, when I came back with them they told me they were too old for them to take

does anyone know a mechanic in the towson(ish) area that can help me out with this?
I need to handle this ASAP

if you have photoshop, you can scan in the origional documents, modify the dates, then make a couple copies of the paper, it should pass just fine.

Maryland law is illegal. They only give you 30 days for the reciepts, which is racketeering since you typically have to get a maryland emissions certified mechanic to sign off on their little sheet.

Fight back, because you can't sue them for unfair buisness practice.

I honestly thought about doing that
I think they would notice if I turned in a sheet of regular paper, instead of the carbon whatever papers they normally use for their receipts

you could probably get the carbon paper in standard printer size.

and have you tried just applying for an extension?
