Maryland guys!
i guess thats the difference in size there...i about killed myself on the 250cc's we used in class because it was small. made it harder to balance while leaning it since it reacted too quickly. i had to bounce my foot off the ground durring the test to keep it from falling over fully.
i know a total of two people who passed the box without issue - **** that box.
i took my class through Harley, so i learned a little about handling a "500" right away. sure, it's a single, and sure it's slow...but i ended up liking them enough to warrant getting my own.
we did the normal class thru HCC which was pretty fun. the suzuki 250s got some decent power to them on that pad. i think EVERYONE hates the box. my bike randomly lost power while in the middle of the final turn and i had to step down to keep from crashing. think it had low gas because power returned as soon as it straightened up.
my teacher did the box with a honda gullwing to show it can be done. pissed everyone in the class off.

heh...my instructor did it on a full dress road king.
he scraped the platforms on both sides.
actually, if i had an intake pipe like you except at 45 deg that would prob work perfectly for me. the N/A had the resevoir on top of the wheel well but the turbo has the piping running thru side fender so they moved it to engine. i might put it where N/A is since my piping is completely different.
no, she runs. there's a broken/malfunctioning switch in one of the passenger side doors so it beeps and flashes interior lights constantly, the brakes need replacing (i haven't bothered to do it because, well, i just don't care about it), it has rust in one of the body panels from my dad overflowing the gas tank a few times without cleaning it off, the front end got in a fight with a metal snow shovel (while my dad was holding it) and has "battle scars" from all the touch-up paint, the windshield's cracked, and the sensor that tells the car it's in Park is malfunctioning (so you have to put it in drive, then in park again to start it). at least one, if not all O2 sensors are burned, but i have two new ones (one for the known burned sensor, and a spare). has a CEL that i haven't bothered to check yet. it needs an oil change, too.
she still runs, but i would love to get rid of it within the month...either as a beater for someone else, or as a parts vehicle.

95 Ferd Windstar...$1k OBO.
oh yeah - it's had a total of two owners. my parents bought it new and gifted it to me. it's never been in a true accident (though a chick in a miata slid under it once). it IS reliable, just has those annoying issues i listed. i've been driving it almost daily since i moved. i still have both bench seats, though they're currently in the boyfriend's basement.

Hrm, you deserve more of an answer then that :P
My family owned a Ford Areostar a while ago, bought it new from the dealer. It was the worst van imaginable.
It was in to the dealer more then we actually ever got to drive it, but, among the many issues, heres some of the best:
1) Dad accelerated out of a stop light, rear seat w/ me and my mom on it fell over (broken mounts)
2) It leaked like crazy, always. Eventually the dealer decided to caulk the window sealing, but they used this horrible smelling stuff, the smell never went away.
3) Trim kept falling off. No, this isn't the normal falling off, the trim actually had an aversion to the car. It seriously could not even be glued back on :P
4) It leaked OIL like a . . . thing that leaks lots of oil. I mean, every single gasket on that engine leaked some absurd amount of oil. But thats OK, it just kept the engine from otherwise burning it off.
5) The sliding door randomly fell off. We're talking about a year old van here.
etc etc, the list is a lot longer but whatever, you get the point :p

hey, i'm with you. i totally understand. i just want this **** gone - at the end of a month of driving the subaru with no problems, it's going up on CL and ebay...might do the local Hopkins papers, too.
aerostars were far worse than windstars, though...and the 3.8L is a beast of a V6(it still surprises me when i gas it, since i drive it like a grandma most of the time).
