Tell them you had copies of them faxed to you, OR you made copies of the origionals that you keep for income tax purposes. Either way, it's passible.

(and i'm not talking from expierence here of course )

I tried to go with a sheet that was faxed to me and they sent me away saying they can only take an original (assuming because too many people tried just that)

went and got the original, then went back and they said it was too old...

Tragically I won't be free to do what I please when I come home, as I'll have the Penn State sailing team in tow. Wish us luck at the Naval Academy.

Tofu: think it would be possible to bring the red supra back down to the farm? if we do that i can swap parts and see about getting panels painted instead of the whole car at once. prob be more affordable for me to do it that way cuz i dont have 3 grand lying around (or on CC for that matter.)

I would PREFER to fix up the body of the red one and get THAT painted. then i could swap the parts from the silver one to that and i would have a targatop car

"I swear officer, I dont know how the VIN tags from my old car ended up on my new one"

Yeah, I know - So here's my current plan.

1) Maaco quoted me $4750 to do it completely. That's not happening!
2) I go get the car from Maaco and we strip off everything that's obviously wrecked.
3) If there's no major structural damage (it looks like that might be the case), we assess how much effort it is to resurrect.
4) if it looks reasonable, get that price past the wife No seriously...
5) hope Jason's got all the parts I need
6) weld, weld, weld!
7) probably get Maaco to do the finish work and repaint.

Suggestions? Comments?

Anybody wanna help rip this sucker down?

if you can take pictures behind the headlights like under the airbox I can tell you right away if it's worth trying to rebuild. If there are wrinkles in those area's... might as well call it a day and part it out.

I came home today to find my car missing from in front of my apartment. turns out the HOA had it towed. So i get to pay 165 bucks to get it back. Im gonna bill the fee plus mileage to either the HOA or my real estate company (whomever dropped the ball on registering my car as a resident)

im waiting on the impound lot to call me back so i can go get it tonight hopefully.
I was BEYOND pissed when i called them. said it had a "courtesy tow" on it.
