Random nobody popping his head in, but by chance does anyone of a rotary compression tester? PCSing and have to sell the FD, did a check with a autozone piston compression tester but I know they are pretty crappy and don't want to give someone false information. Thanks!
Goodluck, hope to see you there.

A piston tester should get you in the ballpark. Just use a finger or thumb to see if you can feel consistent pulses. Usually wear will be consistant across the faces. Signficant inconsistant wear or damage is an anomoly which you may be able to hear/feel when running.

Appreciate it guys! Ya I did a test with the crappy auto zone lend a tool with 83 front rotor and 81 rear rotor with even bounces for all rotor faces. Idk if numbers could actually be higher or lower and didn't want to give potiental buyers false numbers.

Just disclose how you measured it. FWIW, a rotary tester shouldn't test any higher as the piston tester will read the highest compression from the three lobes. What a piston tester won't show is if one the lobes has lower compression. Also to get as accurate a number as possible, you want to test with the TB open and the engine turning at around 200 (do a search on compression checking to make sure im correct on that tho)

Also, (little known fact) if you show up early for the event they usually have a couple slots that they can fill day of. If they say they've run out of spots come find me and I'll talk to the head organizer and see what I can do. Or, if you're the nervous type, find me before going to the sign in and I'll talk to them for you.

Great timing for me to pop in. Was going to suggest a routine meet for us at a local brewery every so often, instead of twice a year after our drive events. But CFA will do tonight. My car needs a spin. And it should start up just fine. (Rocky had to talk me through a random non-start issue a few weeks ago.)
Billy, you coming out to keep us (more) entertained?
Let me know if plans change but I'll head out there around 7 as well, which will put my ETA at 730.

I tend to do any/all I am available for. Unfortunately recently I've been too busy with work to do any, but hopefully that has changed.

So...more frequent smaller get-togethers anyone? Who's up for checking out Calvert Brewing Company in Upper Marlboro MD sometime soon? They have a nice beer garden further out in Prince Frederick MD that can serve as the destination for the Fall drive. Maryland Craft Brewery | Local Craft Beer -Calvert Brewing Company Looks picturesque, and surely that hill is nothing like Dirt Farm's.

Duc - how you been friend ? Since I'm already in PG County I'd say yes, but because its so FLAT as you get closer to the water imo Virginia is a better drive for the Fall/Spring meets. I'm always up for drive/brew/meet - suggest something & a time. I'm going to go over to FedEx Field Sunday 6/25 about noon and watch Mike thrash his fc beast around the SCCA cones. Weather to be great. Bill

I've exchanged a few PM's with him many years ago, seems to be a really nice guy. He sent me a bunch of technical drawings of cars, the guy loves cars, no doubt. Would make for a nice road trip!

Is it the one in Dulles/Sterling? I forgot about that one. The one I would often go to got shut down unfortunately. That's a good spot if anyone else wants to join, weather permitting. Also at a good time with evening hours for me to join after work.
