I remember those pictures now. I see what it is for now. How come two rads and not just a longer one? I presume they are connected left to right? The water tank is quite a size. I was thinking a closed system without a header and inline pump? For a bare m I'm minimum setup. Would there be anything to stop toy running the pump at a constant speed. I.e flat out all the time? Other than wear of course just thinking about lack of ECU control my end.
I gather they put ice in drag cars and stuff for a run but cannot see it lasting long on the street! Liquid nitrogen?! Or what about a compressed system like an A/C system? Has that been done?

Yea the top port of each connect to each other, I'll post pics of the routing soon, waiting on fittings

Yea its two seperates so that they can fit on either side. I've cut out the storage bin metal behind the coolers to allow air to flow through. The back side is going to be ducted onto the rear diffuser to promote airflow under the car

Water tank is just so could use an in-tank pump, much quieter, easier to bleed etc. The pump costs under $100 and is commonly used in big hp drag cars. I don't plan to daily drive the car, but I don't see why it wont work. I figure the I/C pump can be turned off when cruising in vaccuum, not really any need to circulate the water on a road trip etc.

Anyhow, ecu will have sensory input for water-to-air water temp, and intake air temp, which will display warnings if over a threashold, this way we know if the pump fails.

Here's a pic from some research,

12an lines and same pump inside same cell. I"m using 10an so a little more bottlenecked, but should be plenty of flow. May add water injection for higher boost too. Looks like car won't see over 10psi anyhow.

Bargain pump! Well I like the idea and interested to see how it all routes up and you get on. I have space up front to run water rads where the stock oil coolers mount if I replace my IC set-up. I am using an FC type oil cooler mounted across the front of the car which free's that up. I am going to have to seriously look into it and see what options I have and if there is an A/C cooling option out there.
Do you have a contact for the guy doing your set-up. Pardon my ignorance if he is one of the chaps at PPRE?

Thanks

is that a V8??? hahahahaha just joking.

i have a funny story about that.....i went to get a starter for my RX-3 at autozone the other day. The conversation with the 18 year old sales associate that was imputing all the car info into the computer to get the respective part number went like this:

Sales associate: "oh i've never seen this designation for engine type before"
me: what does the computer say
Sales Associate: it says "2RTR"
me: It may mean " two rotor because its a 13B"
Sales Associate: " ohhhhhh i get it, it only has two pistons"
me: Yes..... it only has two pistons

I didn't feel like explaining everything to him so i let him think he was right! ahahhaha

anyways, great build man. keep up the good work. cant wait til you get that pallet from PPRE!!!!!

I love going to the local parts store and asking for a bulb, or wipers.

"Uhhhhhh is that a manual or automatic?"

At first the storage unit was a stone cold, lonely place in the middle of the winter. But as the project has come along, so has the warm weather. It's now become a fun spot as friend's like RBkouki and Scott Redman come by with the FD3S and badassery cameras! Here's a shot of the habitat

Can't thank them enough! This white FD is clean as f*ck.

If ONLY THE ENGINE WAS HERE

Thank you guys for following. Will keep on keeping on with the small things until we hear another update!

I took a nap and had a dream. You and Rob Dahm were at a stop light, and I inched to a stop between you two. The light was red. We all looked at one another and knew it was on. You and Rob both kicked on the 2 step to build boost. My stupid microtech can't do ****, so I stayed in idle and put the ear plugs on. Flames were melting all our bumpers for what felt like an eternity. then the light changed, all the clutches were dumped, and at that instant, you both broke your drive shafts, and I won the race.

Never got a response on where you got that carbon fiber a/c dash piece...I need one of those lol

But I also noticed there are two complete differences in Rob's and your build(s). They are as follows:
1) You are 99.9% of the time wearing a man bra (hahahah) vs Rob's t-shirt; and
2) your pics are only clear when your friends take them vs Rob usually has good pics.

This leads me to only one conclusion...

Rx7club must start a donation for you in order for you to have extra money to buy shirts and a nice camera. :-D

Hahahah

Alright all jokes aside, looking good so far.

-Nick
