man that **** looks beautiful! does the paint look thicker then sprayed paint on regular cars? like it it some what not as as sharp on the edges but more rounded? clean none the less, perfect in due time. cant wait to see it when youre finished sanding washing and waxing.

I think you have done a great job with what you are working with.

The thing I don't understand is why this method seems to be so widely accepted in the online community when "rattlecanning" is scoffed at and looked upon as a joke. This is no different, why is this process OK with everyone when "spraypainting with cans" is laughed at.. ... It doesn't make sense.. You can't honestly tell me that if I were to paint an entire car with spraypaint that everyone would bookmark it and it would have 3000 views over two weeks... Why is this method so "cool" to everyone? I am watching due to the fact that I would like to know the TOTAL hours put into the job at the end for reference when doing a hours to quality scale...lol..

well i have no problem with the spray painting with cans.
as you can see i already did that once. I just wanted to try this.
besides it hasnt been 2 weeks yet(since i started), and its closer to 7000 views
and im poor, so im working on the money to quality scale, my time is free.

RRTEC, if you come to the next deals gap meet you can pick it apart as much as you want in person.

I am very tempted to use this paint through my paintgun to see how well it works. It's the durability of it that interests me.

i think cause this is a semi-new kind of painting.....
when people use a roller to paint their car, it really grabs their interests...

I think it is the down and dirty budget, the do-it-yourself with common tools and last but not least the man against the odds beating the system.

It really captures the imagination of cheapo FC owners.

I by no means want to pick it apart, I have always thought that if someone is happy with it then that is alll that matters.. Nobody elses opinion matters. PLUS this looks much better then peeling paint and primer... I hope to be at the next gap meeting. I have noplace to talk about anyones car as I HAVE pro-painting equiptment and am just too lazy to get out there and fix all my hail damage and shoot the car back white again...

It seems that you are happy and that is all that matters, plus you get props for spending so much time to make it happen, I do not have that luxury as I have two kids, school, and work to deal with..lol. More power to ya! Like I said It seems to be coming out as well as one would expect. You seem to be doing it all right and reaping the rewards..

I think the reason why this is more attractive then doing it with a rattle can is because the preconceived notion of rattle cans is that the paint quality is crap. People have been trying to paint their cars with rattle cans for years with poor results. This on the other hand, is not only cheap, but people are actually getting good results.

Another problem with the rattle can is that the areas you don't want to paint have to be masked off. Where with this, even though there still is masking, its not even close to the extent of what would be required with a spray. Plus you can do this paint job one section at a time! This paint also seems to be much higher quality of those found in cans.

Though, I hear that there are new rattle cans that have really nice nozzles; and people are getting good results with them.

one thing i like about this paint compared to the flat black is durability (so far)
someones cat on the block likes to sleep on my car and on the flat black their claws left marks.
so i started using my car cover or parking in the garage.
last night the same thing happened but i was able to just wipe off the mud and their were no visible marks.
this stuff should hold up pretty well.

I dont think i will would do this in the future IE years from now, its far to time consuming but on summer break its ok.

thats getting some really good shine to it brother, also due to the fact that i live in a very strict historic district, the historical society here even scrutinizes about the types of screws you use in your window boxes if you are on North st. So for me its much easier to be able to make no mess in my backyard, driveway, shed whathave you. without all the overspray and its just much more clean to work with.

its just flat out cheaper. 2 cans worth of spraypaint is enought to purchase a whole cars worth in paint. plus no gass mask, primer, ect, and again cheap so i you f up its a cheap fix.

o for anyone who is doing this, if you mess up and get paint on a spot then it dries. dont worry.
Goof Off takes this paint off in a few seconds even if its been dry for 2 days, with no residue at all.

Goof-Off will take your oem paint off too. It will dissolve dried latex paint. It will take the white off of rice.

If you get Goof Off on your car, shoot the **** that did it.
