Really nice, though now that there's a background to use as a reference I can see the difference between it and stock paint (hint: look at the dirt road, then at the car). It's slightly more plasticky than stock. The difference is tiny, though. Unless the car looks different in person, I think most people will think it's stock. Excellent job.
i used a very small foam brush to get in the tight spots,
as for color the old paint was in very bad condition, cracked dry and had 0 shine
this new paint is very close to true crystal white when compared to the cars ive seen in good condition. its so white it hurts my eyes on sunny days.

Ahh, that's why. It's probably more the color that makes the difference than the quality of the paint/paintjob. I knew it was different, but I didn't know it was blindingly bright.

What did you do with the flaking paint? Did you just pick it off?

LOL, omg I figured if I took a power washer to my car the paint would slip off and it would look like my car shed snake skin.
One thing that does amaze me is how well the primer holds up. I have some primer spots that have been exposed for over three years...and it is holding up just fine.

hey snowball, how long did u wait between coats? i know the prosses is put 2 coats wait a day, sand, 2 more coats ect. but how long do u wait between the 2 initial coats? thanx (im practicing on a fender right now)
questions.
-wht are the procedures you have to do before and after painting the flat black?
-do u also need to sand it down so u can put on the 1st coat of crystal white?
i am planning to start this project too in the summer so i want to know as much info as possible. so thq.

ive spent about $60 so far but thats because i had to buy stuff to prep the parts. id say if ur car is ready to paint then it shouldnt cost more than $30-$40
so far im at about 23 bucks....but then i still have to buy more paint for the whole car when that happens (im doing 2 tone so more money and work) the hunter car...thats me, its going decient i have my third coat on and im about to hit with my 4th coat here in about 2 hours...then wait another 4-6 then wetsand and hopefully i can hit my 5th and 6th coats on the door today.... i think im going to do 8 coats though just because i have made the paint rather thin and im just testing different results....
