I'm not going for a show winner so I'm not worried about it but the rest of my doors are getting stripped to bare metal before they get painted.
thanks for the help classic.

Any new developments on you build up man? I've decided what I'm going to do with the XB . Widebody kit, Turbo Cat back exhaust, Kick *** rims, etc. I'm thinking of painting it New Beetle green. I kinda like that color.Carbon fiber hood and stuff. It'll look like this only green..

The one in the pic is just fitted not painted or anything. It looks alot better painted.
Oh yah.
We'll see what happens. It's a ways away though.
Have to get the bus and the GTO done first.

hahaha, looks great mang!!
honestly i can wait for that GTO to get done!!
but anyways, here is a sneak peek of what im doing as we speak...

as you can see this is a very expensive little cluster!!
AEM tru-boost gauge+controller, innovate wideband and a pineapple dual EGT gauge fitted in a 5one5 triple gauge pod. i sent this out to lov-2-rev so he could fix it. the 1ST owner cut it for 60MM gauges and did a HORIBBLE job. he took it and put new fiberglass on it and re-cut the holes to the right size for me. THANKS AGAIN BUDDY!!! he did a super great job. and he even painted it to match the dash for me. other than that i been wiring it all up with fuses, relay's and getting ready to install my interior. while i had the dash out i also put a relay in for my reverse lights. i did a write up yesterday CLICK HERE so that i dont have to worry about my reverse lights acting up. tonite ill finish the wiring and install as much of the interior as i can and finish the rest of it tommorow.

^^^ Lookin' good mang! Glad I could help you on your way through this build. Hope we get the chance to meet face to face some time. If I ever get my vert project nearer to completion, I might have to make a drive out to your neck of the woods. I spent a lot of time in the Ludlow area as a kid learing to ski(beautiful scenery, great memories!).
In the mean time, I am using this thread as inspiration to keep plodding my way through my own build.

Lookin good man. I did some work to the bus this past week also. I started to strip the wiring harness from my blue bus to put in my Westy. What a fun job this is turning out to be.
It'll be worth it in the end. I put up some pics in my thread if ya wanna look. The other 2 are in the future. The GTO is next. It doesn't Need much for completion. we'll see what happens. I really like the gauges. lov-2-rev you did a really nice job on them. They look sweet.

Actually, when I was doing mine, the sheen of water hid most of the fine scratches... take some wax/grease remover to it since it evaps quick... it'll show the scratches real well.

The only thing I hate about projects like this is when it's finished. You get so used to working on it and putting time into it when it's done you look for things to change!
You staying in Ludlow or going somewhere else? Moving sux man. I'm glad I won't be doing that for a while. You never realize how much crap ya have till ya move.
Looking good. Hope everything works out for ya.

Pic request of AEM tru-boost solenoid and supplied lines (either how it is now or once its hooked up) please.
Debating which EBC to get and the Tru boost would fit where my boost gauge is now, plus match the AEM wideband........
Looks good, I like the tails!
