Yeah, if we lived near each other I'd totally help too.. I'm pretty much locked down right now from weather. Can't paint with this kind of humidity... I mean, I COULD.. but I don't want to. I'm doing body work on the doors right now.... My doors were visibly in REALLY GOOD shape before I stripped the paint off and realized how dinged up they really were. Most of the imperfections I'm seeing are factory divits... bumps from when the doors were formed.. very weird stuff. There was even factory glazing putty that was forming in a large section of malformed steel. Very bondo-esque.

hahahaha....
i can do that.
ive been pretty busy but i picked my oil, antifreeze, heater hoses, vaccum lines, thermostat, battery connections and few other things today.
i tried to bleed my NEW master cylinder today to find out the slave took a dive on me.
i got one coming though.
i also got my SS fuel lines on and holding 35PSI of pressure steady (what previous owner had it set, it will be set higher) so its good to go. tommorow ill snap pics and im gonna cut the IC pipe for the BOV and have a extension welded on the end to get closer to the turbo.

so i do have quite a bit work left but im on the home stretch!!

well....
this is where im at.
sorry i havent gotten any pics lately. i been so damn busy trying to beat weather. i think its wining.

i did get everything all wired up for the haltech E6k
some of the car still isnt done though. small interior pieces, IC pipes are welded up and ready to drop in.
i have it ready to start.

first i tried to get oil pressure. that was fun!!
i had to remove the oil coolr line and make a tube and funnel to run oil down into the fornt cover to prim the oil pump. i set the funnel in the engine bay and cranked it after i injected some oil and it started coming back out of the funnel. i replaced the oil cooler line cranked it 2-3 times and BOOM! we have pressure. 40-50LBS to be exact.
i also got my oil pressure and water temp installed and working.

then i tried to see if it was going to run..yeah right!!!
all i do is flood it out. i dont think the starter is up to the task but im not sure??
i posted for help in another section so maybe if your good with haltech you could check it out??
this is the link
https://www.rx7club.com/haltech-forum-62/fresh-rebuild-e6k-%3D-no-start-702046/

so i guess once i figure out how to get it running i will weld up my cat and be just about done for now. like stated i still have small things to do and next summer ill upgrade the rotors brakes and shocks and tint the windows.
but for now im stuck trying to get this bitch to start!!

im going to buy starting fluid tommorow and see if it will help...all i do is flood it out....
maybe since i cannot get it to fire and im getting tired of it ill snap some pics for you all so at least you can see where im at.

thanks guys!!!
now i know i promised pics and i did snap 2 tonite....
i know its messy and needs organized so no need to point it out!!
its still in the works of getting cleaned up...i also picked up my E-fan today...its from the (surprise!!) ford taurus 3.8

here you go!!

im gonna have to pull all that harness in the firewall as much as i can and push the wires im not using back though with it. i still need to wire up my dual EGT gauge, figure out if its smoking from the rebuild (only been ran for at least 30 minutes TOPS) or if the turbo needs a restrictor OR my O rings are leaking for the block to LIM. its SOOO rich right now i cant tell if smell coolant burning yet or not...i still need to dump LOTS of fuel out of the haltech.

oh yeah....find my exhaust leak......UGH!!!!!

and notice the dumb mistake i made???
i ordered the wrong coupler size for the TB elbow to IC!
thats on the way as we speak.

the IC piping still needs all the clamps put on also.

I admit it. I love the FMIC type thingy, keeps pipes pretty short too.

yeah thats what i was hoping for. im extremely happy with it.

sooo. a little while ago i bought a pedestal form here:
https://www.rx7club.com/group-buy-center-69/respeed-gb-oil-pedestal-s4-maf-adaptor-449540/

the other nite i put on my IC couplers and such and somehow i hit my oil filter. no idea how hard or when....the next day i fired the beast up, timed it and caught i had 0 oil pressure. i immediatley shut it down and began scratching my head.....i looked and looked and found the oil filter just kind of "sitting" on the pedestal....i thought, holy ****!!! i left it unscrewed?? NOPE. when i hit the filter i BROKE the pedestal where it screws onto the filter. its a seperate piece that screws onto the filter and down into the pedestal. i pulled it off and lined up the piece where it broke off and somehow NONE of the alluminum fell into the motor...NONE! i triple checked the break and it was a clean one (thank god!!)
i then checked the floor to find about 3 or even 4 quarts of oil lying in a puddle. i havent tried to start the motor sine (obvious reasons) but im pretty sure its fine. when i was timing it, i only ran it for maybe 5-10 minutes. that whole time is was still seeing SOME oil since it was both dumping out of the filter AND going into the motor..SOOOO, im going to take a pic before i run into town tommorow and see if i can get it welded.
it seems like there has been alot of bad luck with our motors on this forum lately!
but thank god mine is ok.
hopefully i didnt take 20K of its life
