Hey Andy, of course I remember you. I was reading about your car earlier in this thread and I thought it may be yours Yah, I was shooting for 300 whp, but I didn't want to push more than 13 psi through the turbos just yet I could have added more timing and taken away some fuel, but I wasn't comfortable doing much more than what I already had on the last run. A couple more psi of boost pressure will get me over 300, I may pick up a midpipe later on too. Maybe next winter I'll crank it up a bit when I feel like getting greedy. I have plenty of fuel, and everything else is in good shape as far as the motor goes.

If you're ever in LA or my neck of the woods, likewise give me a call. Hope all is well with you and your ride! If I get the *****, later this year I may take my FD to a roadcourse event like Mazfest last year.... but a drag strip trip will happen much sooner

Yeah its good to be careful on the dyno, I know on a cold night my boost creeps up to 15psi even without a midpipe, the street is a lot different.

I was in LA for the auto show and D1GP finals a few weeks ago but was really busy the whole time, and just got back from a willow springs trackday. So I'll hit you up next time I'm down south.

Road course is fun as hell in an FD but watch out on the track, the stock drivetrain doesn't take too well to hard launches! Good luck

-Andy

dont get me wrong. The power is right on the money with that turbo (although the dyno says c16 NOT pump gas as you stated) but the torque is crazy high from anything I have ever scene! Either way I am not trying to get this dragged on. Just thought you made a mistake on the post or dyno guy mad a mistake.

Your car seems very clean and well done!

that wasnt the same run mate we had c16 in it that time cos it was at a dyno comp and we were going to do some 35psi runs but we blew a cooler pipe off.......

and as i said we re tuned the car not long ago and made 423rwkw on pump fuel......my tuner posted the video up somewhere ......car does make crazy torque..and made power last time to 223kph and power till 8300rpm i understand what you are saying though most people are amazed by my cars figures..its a a great achievement for me and im extremely proud of it ..

Where's the dyno showing the torque figure? At what rpm did the tq peak occur?
Plus the above dyno only shows the car making around 370kw and I hope you don't believe that little spike at the end of the run is an actual indicator of what the car is making power wise.

430hp pass was normal from what I know.
Do you still have this car? If Yes, how is it running?
The turbo is ok?

Thanks,

unfortunately that dyno had a 200kph speed cut on it and that is why it spiked car was also smoking on the dyno aswell ....... car has run higher numbers than than that anyway so i dont really see your point i was only useing that one as a example i mean you sound like you are being very negative that the car can make that power or torque what does yours make ..............

cars best to date is 423rwkw on 21psi and pump fuel i have no need to fudge my figures mate engine is built to take 35+psi and race fuel this one will go well over 600rwhp we are aiming at around the 750-800rwhp mark buddy thats what it was built for

I watched the vid a few times and am I wrong? were those 3rd gear pulls??

Anyway car looks and sounds great. Congrats on that! But I still dont believe you are making 658ft lbs and not having the proof on paper isnt helping!

its ok we didnt even bother printing the dyno sheet but as you can see the lower boost runs were like 580? something but we shortly will be doing the 35+psi runs on race juice and im sure the sheets will show way more than that ...but i wil post them up soon when we re tune the car

I've seen/had the dyno computer double the TQ b4, I don't know y some programs have trouble with the RE....

Looked at hundreds of dyno charts and never has there been one with that kind of curve-not even close.
The HP # I do belive, can b correct.

Thumbs up nice powerband

Wow, awesome numbers for 14 psi & pretty rich A/F! What were your intake air temps and who tuned your car? I bet your car pulls like crazy! You make me want to get a midpipe, ignition amp, & V-mount IC now BTW, I checked out your thread about your V-mount install... thanks for the great documentation!
