You mean I was wrong - that's how Josh explained it to me when I asked him many years ago. But what do I know, I'm an FC owner and spend most of my free time driving my car. :0)

Thanks for clearing that up for me and the rest of us rotary owners. Now I got to figure out what else I don't really know about those beautiful FD rotaries.

6ish. <----- new word!!!! Damn, now that I think of it I don't know!!! Seems like I haven't made a meet for one reason or another in ages. If work doesn't kill me like it has the last few days trying to get over this crud I had last weekend I'll be there at some point. It's been a case of get home and crash on the couch for the evening this week.

Andy: Yeah, the official time is 6:30, although people will usually wander in until around 8 or so.

Alas, I will miss this one, I think I'm going to spend the weekend with Kristy since I've taken off to Raleigh for the past couple of weeks.

It was an exciting game and I didn't know who was gonna win and then the kickoff spoiled all the suspense. But I can't say too much, NC State got beat buy the UofAkron, I thought all the Ohio football players went to Ohio State. Sorry you decided not to come tonight. I been working on a special project and will be bringing it out to the DI. I finally found an FC diecast model, its an S4 Turbo model but the only FC I've seen in a decent scale, 1:24, and dressed it up to look like my FC as much as possible. I got the correct wheels, the TOTD sticker on the back and an American Flag sticker. I even was able to make the GTU badges and put them on the side and got my ROTRMOTR license plate on it. I'll bring it back out for the Rotary nostalgia night in October.

RRDI for September 9th

We had a great turnout tonight for the Drive-In. Eric brought in a new FC and FC with him from Fort Bragg. I call the FD Mr Clean

and Victor brought up his FC for us to enjoy along with his wife driving the support vehicle!

Eric's FD and its new wheels were like introducing a whole new car for us to admire and appreciate:

Andy debuted his finished project, new paint, new gram lights, new body trim, and needless to say his Cash Flow ratio will be on the positive side of the register for some time:

Phil drove in his FC. Its amazing what a new set of wheel bearings can do for a cars ego and a drivers confidence, I call this Phils Black & White:

Doug & Beth arrived to show off some new body work Doug did on the Shinka but Beth doesn't think much of it. It was too painful for me to get a photo. Rodney brought in the Blue Byrd and Greg came in after a short nap, old men need their beauty rest.

We also had a suprise guest, Andy Weaver, that brought in a beautiful 1985 FB with its original engine and some very nice interior work:

That was the exterior, now here is the interior and engine bay:

We had a great time looking a new cars and talking about the old cars and planning the trip to Seymour Johnson in October for the Wings Over Wayne Air Show. Kerri, Nic and Gary were missed and we hope they had some fun at Deals Gap, won some door prizes and have a safe trip home. We also missed Bobby who was the lone ranger from RRDI up at Oceana for the Oceana Air Show and hope he had fun watching the Blue Angels and got home safely. We missed everyone else that didn't show but had no idea where you were at, that is besides David who was making our country safer at weekend drills up at Norfolk.

See everyone in two weeks!

Oh Bert don't you worry. I will be back with my converted 5 Speed FD on the next meeting. Right now after an unfortunate accident involving my transmission I will have my new Transmission back in next week and I will be there the week after! ;-)

I had a great time tonight! Thanks for having me there.

That 1985 FB is in excellent condition from what I can tell, both exterior and interior condition are 8 out of 10. I think the body have recently been painted. The engine is originial and never been rebuild with 95Kmiles, it's quiet, stable idle and everything stock, He did said the AC isn't working and driver side window have some problem.
I believe the owner is trying to find a good home for that car, if people is interest it, PM me as I have his contact information.

LIES! He tells you LIEESSS!!

Firstly, if he gets an FD before me, then... well... there WILL be some words...

Secondly, we can never have enough cars. Hehe. Just as long as they (sometimes) run.

seriously, I'm a family girl... I can never have too many kids... aka CARS.

That is correct my friend, we were in Champs, playing all the way in the back next to the bathrooms. The MB FD is mine, the white one belongs to Chris (also from Fayette'nam), the black FC belongs to Ben and the white FC belongs to Phil. Had we known there were other rotary owners in there we would have sought you out, haha.

OH yeah, and I was wearing my RBQ tshirt, haha. And I LOVE that sig, in the pink pants. Mmmmmm, haha.

Thanks for the compliments on the FD Bert. It feels like a new car everytime I get it back into commission after being down for a while, lol. Loved the "mini-me" GTU, haha. That is some crazy detail on such a little car, especially the license plate and TOTD decal, which I didn't even notice. Did you have the NASCAR decals on the wheel centercaps too? HAHA. THAT would have been just too much.

Good to see you tonight Andy (Lee AND Weaver, haha). Andy Lee, I expect a ride sometime in that amazing machine, haha. I wanna see just what I'm getting myself into with a GT35. I'll bring along some Depends so I don't make a mess in your passenger seat, haha. That FB is pretty nice. If I didn't have too many cars already I'd be all over it. Oh wait, you need money for that, haha.

I've been wondering where you've been. Great to hear from you. Didn't know if we'd have to schedule another trip to the Zoo to get you to attend or not. Was the tranny accident during the conversion or did it happen and cause you to go ahead with the conversion? You can tell us all about it at the next Drive-In.

Well, glad to see the turn out was good yesterday!!! Keri and I got back in town around 330 this afternoon. Saw a few Ferraris on the way back, Keri got pics for me. Also, we found the cheapest gas in probably the entire country...just out side of Mebane, two gas stations were having price wars, I paid 2.55 for 93 octane! As for our trip we a great time, got some good pics and some pretty god video. I'm sure Gary is steadily editing all the video he shot and we will probably have to show everyone at the next meet. Also, Pettit Racing bought up two of their prototype SuperCharged 8's, I was one of the lucky ones and actually got to a test ride. It's putting down 270 to the wheels and almost the double the stock torque! And it's still getting 20mpg with 6 lbs. of boost, very impressive!

^DAMN, sounds like you guys had a good time then Nic. I would have driven out there just for the cheap gas had I known, haha. And seeing the Pettit 8s would have been icing on the cake. Can't wait to see the video. Missed you guys at the meet yesterday too!

Well Victor, if you didn't try to scare everyone on the road by taking their paint off at 100+, you might save some fuel, haha.

I am coming to the next meet, nothing short of death will stop me. No there is no group in J-ville. Oh and my passenger side power window switch quit working again...

Well that's good to know Jason, ***** still intact. Haha. Well, if Josh and I head out to the Gap on the 23rd (and you should go as well!) we will obviously miss that meet. But it's good to know you're still dedicated, haha. Not sure what to tell you about the switch. Did you open it up? I know you can open the FD window switches and clean the corrosion off the rebuild it. If that's what the problem is for you...

This is about the time the attacks were happening 5 years ago, so I'd like to just take a moment to give my condolences, if that's possible to do in a forum, to those that were lost. To all the innocent people we lost because of these nutless scumbags. May our fallen brothers and sisters rest in peace, God bless them. And may those scum burn in hell. I wish I could see the look on their faces when they discover they're getting a hot poker in the *** instead of their 72 virgins. Morons.
