Sounds like a plan, it shouldn't take too long for us to get to your place from Goldsboro. Did you get a room at the blake?

I drove it from my parents' garage back home, but since you have to remove the front hubs (and brakes) I spent most of the drive home going 50 mph and then slamming the brakes to reseat them. The ride is really good, a nice balance between performance and comfort. You can feel every bump in the road, but they don't bother you at all.

I didn't spin the tires accidentally at all on the way home, I guess I'm actually putting the power down to the ground now. With the suspension added, and a new steering wheel, the car feels like an RX-7 again.

I won't be at the meeting, unfortunately, I'll be at work, like I always am on Saturday nights.

I didn't get a room yet, I'm hoping with all the other motorsport events going on this weekend that not too many people will be taking up rooms. I'll check now about getting a room. Oh, and I got another guy from my shop that's planning on going. He's the one that bought the $800 TII (with 13B-RE) that both my friend and I wanted to get. I guess he's gonna ride with me but who knows.

Bert, I finally sat down and figured out how to take normal pics with my new camera so I should be able to get some good pics this time. We shall represent well. I'm actually going to try to meet up with some other rotary owners at HIN too.

Also, has anyone seen or heard from Josh lately? I've been trying to get ahold of him for weeks now. I need to get Rob's email too so I can send him the pics he wanted from Deal's Gap, even though they're crappy. Can anyone believe it's been over a month since that? I had so much fun and I want to go back several times this year, haha. I might have to move out that way myself, maybe Rob needs a roommate .

Sounds good! That's the way I felt when I did the Turbo. Next up is to do the 'Vert.
I agree on the power to the ground feel, mine felt like that also. Does the car sit any different height wise than it did before?

The rear and the front passenger side is about the same as it was before, the drivers side front is raised quite a bit since it was severely sagging before. The RB springs are supposed to lower the car a bit, but I think that since my old springs were sagging it didn't matter too much. I compared the springs out of the car and the RB ones are about 3/4 inch shorter.

By the way, does anyone want any of my old suspsension bits? I don't see why anyone would want it, but I thought I would ask before throwing it away.

I may come to the meet tomorrow night. The GTU has been dead for three weeks now b/c of that alternator... I just got it back today. I need to put that in, then I need to replace a melted hose barb for my auxilary port air pump, and I have to fix my oil pressure gauge.

I've been driving that damn beater for ages now. I haven't heard a rev buzzer in almost a month.

^damn that sucks. Good thing I checked the forum cause I would have been waiting on you guys, haha. I was thinking "well I figured they'd call to get my address" haha. I didn't get a room yet cause I wasn't sure if this other guy from work was coming and would want to split it, and he hasn't called yet either. I wish we could have driven down together too, I'll meet you guys there though.

Does anyone have a set of front control arms for an FD just laying around? There is a bushing company in Australia that I'm trying to get bushings from. They don't make the front ones yet cause they don't have a control arm to fit them into. That's what a distributor here in the U.S. said anyway, I'm thinking he may just need one for HIS car, haha.

^ We meet at the Chargrill on Six Forks Road starting at about 6:30 every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.

I didn't make it out this week guys because I had to go out for an early Mother's Day dinner thing and plus my car wasn't completely running right. The alternator is in and all that but my airpump for the auxilary ports is giving me a bit of trouble. The plastic tee fitting for the hose melted from the temps under the hood and then one of my wires got loose. Hopefully I'll have it figured out today.

You know how we were looking at the air intakes last night. Must be a series 5 thing since this one is the same as mine and it's an NA. On another note, found this pic in the lounge, guy was commenting on how it was the cleanest CAI he had ever seen.

I told Wanklin about it and he's already got one on it's way to them, thanks though Jesse. Good info for the future.

We just got back from HIN. It was pretty cool, only 3 RX-8s that were barely modified and one FD but it had an LS1. I got pics though. I'll upload them in a few minutes. There were alot of other nice models there, CARS I mean (yeah right) haha. It was pretty cool I guess, but as you probably know, alot of ricers in attendance.

Oh yeah, I was just looking on Killboy.com and found a pic. I think I need to put my new suspension on before next year, haha.

http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/...um=0&adjust=-1

If that link doesn't work, it's pic 335 of 1011, on page 21 (bottom row, second from right)

And get a bulb in my driver's side taillight, haha.

When we were looking at your engine bay last night I noticed the air intake from the nose of the car to the air filter box was different than mine. We were wondering if it was a difference of a being an NA and Turbo. Looks like they changed the design of it for the S5 series to a straighter line. Also the radiator design is different as well as the S4 having two radiator type caps, one on the thermostat location and on the radiator as my S5 just has it next to the battery box.

That's a sweet CAI box on that white FC. Any idea if it's custom made or one that can be bought ?....

He said the guy who installed his exhaust did it and doesn't work on rotary cars, but like some of the guys said in the thread a CAI is a CAI, doesn't matter if it's a rotary. Seems like some guys posted some links in there also for some people who make 'em.

Glad to see you guys are still meeting. I miss my RX7 and getting out running it. Any first gens showing uo for the meetings? I had the white 1st gen that showed up for the first couple of meetings but I ended up selling it. I might drop in one Sat to check things out.
