Johny I was JUST coming on here to post about the GT Live Tour up at VIR Oct 6th-8th and you beat me to it. Also a date of interest will be the Good Guy's Car Show at Lowe's Motor Speedway October 27th-29th. Might be a good time to meet up with the Charlotte Rotary guys.

Eric, did you go to the GT Live website? They have this GT Sim thing you can do at the track, it's where they let you ride along in one of the GT cars at speed around the track in an actual track session! Dude, me and Keri are in we're getting our tickets as soon as we get back from Deal's Gap.

 

Nic, I don't know if I can get up there Saturday to it but Sunday is a given for this event! This is one of the "BIG" events up there.

 

I'm definitely in to catch a ride in speedsource's rx8.

Greg, I talked to a friend of mine who owns a Dodge dealership and the Challenger is a go. Not sure of any details but he said they are definatly going ahead with production. (Note) I don't think they trade them for amps & guitars.

 

ahh **** it's even the same color my old one... this sucks. ya know if i were to ever be tempted by the dark side (pistons) again... that would be all it would take.

 

There is suppose to be an SRT 8 version also.

 

come to the darkside greg. the new challenger gives me a chubby. so did the old one for that matter.

 

How much to enter? I might try. I won't win with stock suspension, but I'll see how I do, lol.

I want one! (non SRT if it's my choice...better gas mileage, same power potential)

No I didn't go to it cause I don't have the time or money to do much right now, haha. And I'm not sure Deal's Gap is in my cards right now either. I started the brake job today and 3 of the tires are showing cords, with the 4th not far off. If I can get the wheels and tires on, along with maybe the pillowballs and an alignment, along with rolling the fenders if I have to, I'll be going. I'm going to be really pissed if I can't make it this time.

 

You're not lyin', I'd LOVE to get my hands on a new Challenger, or even a new Camaro. MMmmmmmm.

the older ones were definitely nicer. the originals always are. look at the "new" mustang, challenger, and eventually camaro. i think dodge did the best job, though i have seen some modded mustangs that look real good. either way the originals win, hands down.

anybody have an idea how much the new challenger is going to be?

^ Bobby, I missed that when I was looking at their site...I guess I'll have to see how much I have saved up by then and get a helmet! I saw registration was $175 for your vehicle and then you have to buy participant credentials. Seems like it would be fun but if you aren't one of top 3 in your group kinda seems a little pricey for a lap.
