So if you wanna stop by and see the progress you're more than welcome. I'd bring the car down the street to you but it's kinda up on jacks right now, haha.

Just take a plate from another car. I here there is some one on here that does
that. I don't advocate breaking the law.

Happy Birthday to Stina
As for you Eric...come down. If the car has been registered and you are waiting for tags to arrive in the mail then you're legit. With out of state tags and a military ID the law is very understanding of that stuff. If you say you're registered and haven't received the tags yet cause you're military and they're being mailed, the cops will usually just go back to the car, make sure there are no warrants out for your arrest or stolen tags on the vehicle and let you be on your merry way...I miss that part of military. I haven't had any problems yet...but I'm going to get my car re-registered in VA today, lol...shhh, they don't know I'm living in NC and I can't afford the $650 it costs for title transfer, state tax, crossing borders and whatever other rediculous fees NC has. I still have a military ID since I'm active reserve so I'm playing that avenue

Then later I got stopped and wrote up cause they were just a month out, but all you have to do is go through the hassle of showing up at the 'Disposition' Court and show them you've taken care of it and it'll be dismissed, no fine, no court fees, just the hassle... And renewal online is a breeze...

Johny-
too bad I don't have two other MB FDs to swap with, haha. Unfortunately I don't believe the officer would believe the FD is a 97 Honda Prelude, haha.David- They aren't renewed just yet, but if he gets in there Saturday and renews them I might make it up there. Assuming I got everything done. I'm getting the tires mounted here in a couple hours, and I'll bleed the brakes tonight, and probably roll the fenders, or at least attempt to. Then all that's left is getting the alignment. When I switched the Prelude from MO to NC, I think it was about $200 or so. I don't remember for sure. But I see what you're getting at, you don't want to take any chances before you know for sure.
Victor- Are you going to make it to a meet sometime? Haha. Have you heard from anyone else about starting the club here? I really gotta get off my *** for that.
I'm thinking getting the alignment done will not fix the problem of bad camber, would I be correct? Is that part of the alignment job?

Lol, no, Stina is not wasted. Not alcoholically speaking at least. We went to Norfolk today and ran errands(fun birthday, eh?). We got back to Raleigh about 11:00pm and she was pretty wasted(tired). We stopped at Wal-Mart so she could buy alcohol legally on her birthday, but she just threw it in the fridge for tomorrow, and went to catch some sleep for a busy day she's been looking forward to for awhile now
lol. She's not an alchy, she just has one drink very rarely while we watch a movie or something. She looks up to Eric...I don't think either of them would mind me saying that. I admire them and their morals myself...I have to admit I enjoy some drinks from time to time, but I have massive respect those who choose otherwise. Major kudos to them!!!
So I guess I'll be seeing many of you tomorrow. I'm gonna go catch some sleep to get ready for all the preparations. Tomorrow will be busy. I really hope things work out so you can make it Eric. If not, you will be missed and we'll hope to see you soon.

OK RRDI members, here are some teaser pics. I say teaser because I have to wash the car tomorrow and I'll take some more good ones.
Stina, I meant to wish you Happy Birthday last night but I forgot, haha. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Josh, what do you mean Pettit specs? That's good. I'm gonna raise it about another half inch or inch tomorrow, so that should fix it a little. I think my adjustments for the rear camber may be messed up though. I tried to adjust it before and it didn't do much. And is there an adjustment for the front too?
Victor, if you need help with the radiator let me know. And I'll let you know about the next meet, but I believe I'll be at Deal's Gap for the next one. HOPEFULLY!!!
Dave, thanks for the support. Most people just look at me like I'm weird for not drinking, and/or ask me if I'm religious, haha. I'm gonna try to make it up tomorrow. If my Dad gets the reg. renewed I'll be up, but I probably won't stay the night cause I gotta be up at 0700 the next morning for Carowinds.

(No, I still haven't had my first drink yet at 21. LOL) Don't think I really care about drinking.

Happy bday hope it went/goes swimingly!
Yes Eric I must say, the wheels look awesome. So, I guess hand rolling the fenders went easier than expected!?! Can't wait to see the new pics. I'm trying to set up a "photo shoot" with my buddy that owns the Lotus Elise, hopefully I can get that done this week before the Gap. Give me a call this week Eric.

The pics are a little deceiving Josh. They do sit out kinda far, it's just that my camber is off so much that they're already tucking in. I rolled the fenders as well as I could with a bat and a rubber mallet, and I have to say the rear fenders didn't turn out too bad, the fronts didn't need too much rolling cause the lip is so short anyway, and it was a little harder to roll those. I still want to use the fender roller to finish them off though, so count me in still. Not sure when I'm gonna have money to pay for it though, I'm pretty strapped right now, even being just after payday. I'm going to raise the car a little bit today too, maybe about .5 -1 inch and see what it looks like then, and hopefully it will bring my camber into better alignment.
Nic- Thanks. I really do like them, even though I wasn't happy at first. They look alot better on the car with tires, haha. GO FIGURE. Rolling the fenders...easier? Yes and no. It was easier than I thought not to mess up the fender, but I was definitely struggling to get the fender to roll. For one, I was thinking the wheel had to be on the ground and you'd use that pressure to mash the bat into the fender...duh, can't spin the tire if it's on the ground! So it went alot faster than I thought because of that, haha. Not having to downjack and jack it up, take off certain wheels, all that. I went through first with the mallet like IMSA said and started the bend, then discovered I needed the new wheels on the car to do it cause the stock wheels weren't big enough to make contact with the bat and fender. They're definitely rolled, but they're not completely flush with the fender itself. There's still a little lip, and I want to take that out with the roller. I'll call you this week.
Guess what I just came across? How about a stroll down memory lane.

Great pics...I wish I was part of the group then. I thought Bert was talking about having another GRR sometime this year!?! I guess I'll have to talk with everyone when I get from the Gap. Aslo, this is for all the RRDI, I should have some more info on DGRR '07 once I meet up with Phil this coming weekend!
hey everyone, i just got my 7 about a week ago and i came across this thread.. i read the first few pages looking for times, and locations.. and i realised there were 482 pages of information, so i figured i would just ask here..
