Nic, can't wait to have that house party, haha. I might still try to make it to the Gap this weekend, I'll let you know by the end of the week either way. Have a safe trip tomorrow. Prime the dragon for me in case I head out that way, haha.
House party...funny! Yeah, man just give me call, you might be able to get through up there. We are having a show and shine Saturday morning starting at 8. And then we have the "official" running of the Dragon the rest of the day and then dinner later that night. Hope you can make it out!!!

It will not open from the outside OR inside. I was thinking of still going, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the hassle of getting in from the passenger side (easier than I thought it would be) or trying to "Dukes of Hazzard" my way out of it. THAT is tough. I can't even get my upper body through the window first so I had to stick my legs out first, then pull myself out so I was sandwiched in there and trying to squeeze my way out, with my shoulders touching my knees. I've come to the conclusion that my *** is too big.
Oh yeah, and I spotted an orange FD in my buddy's shop yesterday so I stopped to check it out. He has alot done...water injection, fuel cell, single turbo (Garrett, looks like a GT35 or 40), and the STOCK AST!!!!! I was like "uh, this guy is gonna need to change this AST...soon...like now...right now." My friend didn't even pay attention to me, like I didn't know what I was talking about, but he was pretty busy with the wiring under the driver's side so I just said I'd talk to him later. He said they're gonna try to get 520hp from it. I guess that's possible, it did look pretty strong...I'll be watching for this car to be for sale wrecked sometime soon. He said either the guy just got it, just got it from New York, or the guy just came from NY, one of those three. Can't remember, haha. It also has a C-West body kit and SSR wheels.

Did you get any pics of the Orange FD? And what is an AST? I'm lost on that part. Sorry, it's the rotary noob in me.
I'll stop here and keep it short for once
Good luck with the door problem.

David- I got the door fixed, but thanks anyway. I tried to do it again after work while Inacio was filming but I couldn't get out in uniform, I guess it was the extra fabric that put it just outta reach, haha. But I did get out feet first, and I DO have that on video. AST is Air Separator Tank...the stock plastic ones explode (begging the question why the HELL did they put it in there from the factory in the first place?!), and he still had the stock one. Surprising because everything else was replaced.
Nic- I got the car aligned today but it doesn't feel THAT much better. I can tell a little difference, but whatever. I got everything done that I wanted to but for lack of money I might not make it. Things are kinda tight these days. I may not even make the airshow. Victor has having a rotary get together Saturday, so I may join that and see if they want to trek up there for the RRDI too.

I won't make the RRDI this weekend(Reserve duty calls)
But I'm glad you got the door fixed. What was the problem with it?
So the Air seperator tank obviously seperates air from/for something, but where at and to what? Too bad he hasn't realized the catastrophy that awaits him. Hopefully he'll figure it out before it's too late. Hope to see you soon.

AST stands for Air Storage Tank, it stores air, good, clean air for breathing while a rotary car is running at speed then dumps the air in a measured flow rate, based on the AQM reading, into the passenger compartment while the car sits at idle for traffic lights, waiting in line at Taco Bell, backed up in rush hour traffic, etc. It dumps its load of fresh air into the passenger compartment so the car's occupants don't die of CO poisoning while the car is idling.
^actually stands for Air Seperation Tank. Air and vapor are collected in it from the cooling system and by thermal expansion it is forced into an overflow bottle below the level of the coolant so that air bubbles will rise the surface and vent to the atmosphere. The stock ones have a tendency to burst and spill your coolant everywhere which will most likely end in a dead motor.

^Actually Bert was joking, but I thought it was serious too in the beginning. Til I got to the part about having fresh air for the passengers, HAHAHA. That's a good idea though Bert, you should patent that idea. Thanks for the true explanation though, I wasn't sure what it's exact function was either, just the name and that the stock one explodes, haha.
Lol, I have been informed of all functions of the AST, both fictional and factual now. Thank you Bert and Wolfpack
I now know what to look for first when/if I get an FD
That'll be a ways down the road I think though. The 4 cars that Stina and I have are enough...for now

Well, my project have finally come to a point where I am confident to show public....it's not finish yet but major stuff are done after 2 years of works.
The only areas left now are refurbish interior parts, more fine tuning and some docking to channel air to proper places but that'll wait for a while.
I'll try to go to RRDI more often now. We need to have more socials between 2 groups.
