Phil, sent you a PM but for all others we'll be meeting at Firebirds Grill in the New North Hills at 12:30 or so for lunch. All RRDI guys and gals are invited. I'll be meeting Phil at the Char Grill and then we'll drive down Six Forks to North Hills. If you want to join us then be at Firebirds at 12:30 or at the Char Grill at Noon. I did set aside a RRDI shirt for you if you're still interested and will bring it.
I'd would allow an hour for the drive over from Chapel Hill since traffic will be pretty heavy around some of the shopping centers you'll pass. Once you make it past The Streets of South Point Mall traffic should lighten up.

I met Phil for lunch and we decided to eat at the Char Grill. Eric joined us and seconded the decision the dine in at the Char Grill. Diane and I had a great time getting reacquainted with Phil and meeting his personal physican, Jennifer, a really cool young lady with a great appreciation of rotaries and the Men who drive them . . . or is it buy them?
I want to thank Eric for driving over from Cary and representing the RRDI. I got one of the RRDI shirts to Phil so don't be surprised if you see it at Deals Gap next April.

For those who missed VIR we had a ggod time, My dad who is 75 rode with me in the second session. He was real quiet, so I asked "Dad are you scared" "Hell no If you can drive it I can ride it". As I came through the climbing esses I smelt raw fuel. I stopped passed the Oak tree to investigate. Every thing was OK under the hood so off we went. Everyone thought I stopped cause of my pop. I found out later the raw fuel was slung out of my gas cap as it was a littlte loose. And I only had 1/2 tank. On the last session I took (Hot sauce) sorry I forgot you name already, with me. I showed him what little I knew about the track.
It was a time Ill never forget, My dad is still talking about it. Now if I can get him to buy me a track prepped car.
Johny
I think I got the saying 'If you're scared, say you're scared" from dad.

Hey Johnny, Thanks for the laps around the track, it was my first time in a Rx-7, a highly modified one at that. Your car tracks very well around the turns, no body roll and good traction. You need to tell me your setup again. I liked the turns around the oak tree where we fish tailed when the turbo kicked in. I have some video that I sent to Doug to post on the RRDI website, look for it soon. It was nice meeting you, hope to see you at the RRDI in Raleigh.

Lance I thought that was what I remembered. I didn't want to get it wrong. I did that with Ray early on.
Nice meeting you
