LOL, you got me firgured out Johny. I think you have seen "Old school" to many times my friend. In all honest, I have a full day of work. I got a guy coming on sunday to pick up my Buick that i finally sold. Just so happens that last week it decided that it wasn't going to start up. Go figure. Then i got some plans for the 7. I finally got some SS brake lines that i'm going to put on, and some driveline problems to figure out. Then if i have time, i have decided to take my manual steering off and go back with power steering. Call me crazy, but i love my powersteering. And Johny, shopping for linnens was last Saturday.

Looks like the plan is a 5:30 meet at the grill and then out to see some lights. Also, some of us are getting up with Phil earlier for lunch maybe. Bert, whats the deal with that?

Phil, sent you a PM but for all others we'll be meeting at Firebirds Grill in the New North Hills at 12:30 or so for lunch. All RRDI guys and gals are invited. I'll be meeting Phil at the Char Grill and then we'll drive down Six Forks to North Hills. If you want to join us then be at Firebirds at 12:30 or at the Char Grill at Noon. I did set aside a RRDI shirt for you if you're still interested and will bring it.
I'd would allow an hour for the drive over from Chapel Hill since traffic will be pretty heavy around some of the shopping centers you'll pass. Once you make it past The Streets of South Point Mall traffic should lighten up.

That's a pretty pathetic excuse for not coming out. I have heard that the RX8s have built heaters that work and besides its December and Christmas time. It is supposed to be COLD!!! Heck, if I know Greg, he'll come out in his vert and have the top down all the better to see the Christmas lights.

I met Phil for lunch and we decided to eat at the Char Grill. Eric joined us and seconded the decision the dine in at the Char Grill. Diane and I had a great time getting reacquainted with Phil and meeting his personal physican, Jennifer, a really cool young lady with a great appreciation of rotaries and the Men who drive them . . . or is it buy them?

I want to thank Eric for driving over from Cary and representing the RRDI. I got one of the RRDI shirts to Phil so don't be surprised if you see it at Deals Gap next April.

Yeah and not to mention the rotary makes plenty of heat for the whole family even if the heater doesn't work haha. Glad to see you guys had a good time with Phil. Would have joined but we were playing monkeys in the trees in cary on a ropes cource.

For those who missed VIR we had a ggod time, My dad who is 75 rode with me in the second session. He was real quiet, so I asked "Dad are you scared" "Hell no If you can drive it I can ride it". As I came through the climbing esses I smelt raw fuel. I stopped passed the Oak tree to investigate. Every thing was OK under the hood so off we went. Everyone thought I stopped cause of my pop. I found out later the raw fuel was slung out of my gas cap as it was a littlte loose. And I only had 1/2 tank. On the last session I took (Hot sauce) sorry I forgot you name already, with me. I showed him what little I knew about the track.

It was a time Ill never forget, My dad is still talking about it. Now if I can get him to buy me a track prepped car.

Johny

I think I got the saying 'If you're scared, say you're scared" from dad.

Hey Johnny, Thanks for the laps around the track, it was my first time in a Rx-7, a highly modified one at that. Your car tracks very well around the turns, no body roll and good traction. You need to tell me your setup again. I liked the turns around the oak tree where we fish tailed when the turbo kicked in. I have some video that I sent to Doug to post on the RRDI website, look for it soon. It was nice meeting you, hope to see you at the RRDI in Raleigh.

I was at work...always at work. I need to quit, but then I wouldn't have money for car parts.
