I'm installing the engine tomorrow. I spent the day installing all the other stuff inthe engine bay, my back is killing me.

i think i have my car licked. i have my hopes on getting it running this weekend. if i do get it running , someone can ride shotgun. if not we may have to look into the MPV thing, at least its a mazda

i do need a drivers side door handle and a pasanger FTP lense and i need to find an S4 front bumper

 

Anyone have a fender lip roller avaliable for me to borrow or rent? I just got some 3pc wheels and I need to roll my fenders, I was going to do it by hand but the car was just repainted and I rather not risk chipping the paint. Thanks in advance! PM me or camocarl@aol.com

Carl, I need to do my fenders too. Maybe, we could go in halves on it and then resell it. Probably wouldn't lose too much money that way and we could both get our fenders rolled. If anyone else needs to do this we could split 3 ways and further minimize the individual loss.

 

You can rent one from Tirerack...Or you used to be able to.

 

What does it mean to "roll your fenders"?

 

if you take your fender liners off the fender has a lip like this _| when you roll your fenders it winds up looking more like this \| This is important to do when you are lowering your car so that the wheel/tire doesn't grab that lip and pull it out; it can damage the fender and the tire.

 

Might be interested in rolling my fenders too. Don't think mine were rolled (never checked) but the car was lowered so it is probably be in my best interest to do so.

actually interesting thing about fenders i had the other day, a newer mazda protoge caught the fender gaurd and ended up catching the main harness of the computer pulling out the fuse box and half of the wires hooked to the fuse box.

i thought it was funny

 

I got my room today for TOTD! They said they still had about 50 rooms left, so for any procrastinators out there like myself, you can still get a room. Can't beat the price, $49 a night is a steal. When is everybody coming back? I have to be back sunday afternoon, so i was thinking of leaving early. Just wondering...

 

Last time I checked the wait was 4 months from tire rack. I may also go in a roller and then resell it, ive got no problems with that. I went ahead and did it by hand, may need to go more. The way to do it best is with the machine. Let me know! Carl

 

well guys there are two Black S5s for sale the two are being sold as a pair for $2500, both run one is in very good condition and the other has more luck as a parts car. heres some pics.

they apear to be both of same type, 5 lug wheels, single piston calipers, power windows.

also one of them comes with a complete rockford fosgate system

maybe we can all go in on it and use them as parts cars or we could use the beat up one for parts and give the better one off as a raffle. or perky could buy em
