I even made it out there on saturday night. I was there with Steve and Greg until I left around 6:15. That was my first drive in in probably a year. Bert , I was hoping to see you out there.

yeah Keith last time I saw you it was at a cold-as-hell winter meet! You drive a 'vert... you should come in when it's warm out and you can drive with the top down.

Well the vert is my daily driver, so it sees use year round. It was just a wee bit too cold saturday for the top to be down though. Any time it's over 50 degrees though is fair game ! I need to come out more often. I could learn a lot from some of the people out there. Next project is new shocks/struts. It's got 123k miles with original shocks/struts. It will probably feel like a new car once those are replaced !

I did mine a few months ago. I noticed a big difference. Don't make my mistake though--buy some adjustables; shell out the extra money. I got the Tokico HP non-adjustables. They're really good shocks, but these days I've been getting more and more irritated with the bumpiness on my 20 mile commute on I-40. They were great at VIR though.

I have been looking at the Tokico HPs as well. They are definitely more in my price range than the adjustables, but I did find the KYB AGX models for $323.99 (plus $29 s/h) on ebay. New of course... I may go that route instead. I have no plans for anything other than a better handling vert. With 123k miles on the original struts/shocks , just about anything has to be an improvement !

The next upgrade will be the Racing Beat springs/sway bar/bushing kit. Can anyone suggest someone in the area that can do this work for less than an arm and a leg ? ... Just looking to put the new struts/shocks on for now. The rest will come later...

Not a scheduled meet since that would be the 5th Saturday of the month. I thought Greg had mentioned a get together but that was at a place his group was playing at on Whitaker Mill Road and its tonight, not New Year's Eve.

The next scheduled Drive-In is Jan. 14.

The gig is next Friday at Northside Billiards on the corner of Whitaker Mill and Wake Forest Road, across from Snoopys. Free to get in, beer, pool, band having too much fun....

The 24th is the 4th Saturday this month!!! The Char-Grill will be closed that night so.... Someone said meet for breakfast, others said meet anyways. Ideas, suggestions, options,
concerns, opinions....

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope everyone has a safe happy holiday. Please take time to remember why we celebrate Christmas, and remember those less fortunate than us.
and speaking of less fortunate.....

I get to help my brother put on a ROOF he is in the process of building a house. I remember when I was 13 I helped the same brother install a rearend in his 65 mustang on christmas eve, cold as hell. Oh well at least we get to spend time together.

Merry Christmas All
Johny

whats up,
This is the longest this thread has ever gone without a post. I hope christmas was good to everyone.
I'm taking Tiffany out of service for a couple of weeks. I need to fix a irritating oil leak (either the oil pan, or turbo oil line) I'm gonna fix them both to be sure I also am taking a few things of the engine to be powder coated.

Happy new year

Hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas. I really wanted car parts, but I will settle for a Nintendo DS with Mario Kart. Whee!
