Looking good Ray! You might consult Dave/Big Island 7 about painting the bay, he always had clean, spotless ones

You're not putting that mint steering wheel in this car? What about that NOS shift **** you got a while back?

A little while ago we had a discussion about arcing coil packs. Noticed a sound under the hood of Ericas car and that seems to be the issue. What solution did we end up finding? Replace the coil pack?

Might be the coil wires and whatever those FC's have for a distributor, if the circuit isn't complete the spark will jump at the coils. If it doesn't seem to affect engine performance much it would probably be the trailing circuit.

Bret that mint steering wheel and the uninstalled shifter **** are for the S3 series, they wouldn't be correct in the White One II, which is a 1983 S2 series car.

Stu, shoot me your address and/or phone number. We're still doing the Lakehouse thing every year and it's time to plan. You don't have to come, but you're getting invited, dammit.

Yeah, slight idle drop and voltage drops for sure.

Thanks to help from Alex and Crit, the FD's rear main leak will be fixed in time for DGRR... Along with a new clutch, trans oil, brakes, and exhaust system.

Your car has come such a long way in a short amount of time, and not to sound all sappy and **** but I'm glad you've allowed me to be a part of it. I've had fun shooting the **** and drinking beers in our garages as we work on the FD's.

Does that mean the Train Wreck 12A has a new home and you'll be keeping the mint red steering wheel and shift ****?

No motor needed, I just bought it for the Panasports and parts.

I mean, how could you not buy those wheels?

Ray,

You need to put the Train Wreck 12a in this car and get it running in time for DGRR. That way you have a 7 to drive and can enjoy the TW12a while you are working on the White One VI and getting it perfect. Once you finish the White One IX you can swap the TW12a over and sell this one or keep the parts, or whatever.

Thanks for the suggestions on the engine swaps Tommy, not a bad plan (I had considered it). But I think what I'd rather do is put the TW12A in your Miata and take that up to DGRR, that would be easier!

Martin I think I'm going to strip the leather off that steering wheel and put in on ebay if it's in good shape. But I may have another maroon horn button somewhere, I'll check and get back to you.

Let me know when I can bring it by! I get to keep the TW12a afterwards, right?

Tommy is right Ray. Put the TW12A in there and drive to DGRR. When the White One XI is ready put the known good TW12A in it.

What size are those Panas, Ray? Drool, drool drool.

15 inches Mike, sorry for giving you Wheel Envy.

Tommy I'm not sure your Miata will still want you as an owner with that TW12A under the hood and my stable of FBs to hang out with.

But you can come visit on the weekends.

Ray, you don't want to compromise the provenance of the White One XV by putting those non-OEM wheels on. The White One XVI needs the '83 LE wheels - you know that.

I'll help you out. I'll stop by an pick up those Panos and get them out there so they don't accidentally find their way on to the White One XVII. No need to thank me.

MORE DROOLING...

Hey guys. getting closer to the move to GA and awaiting surgery too. I kept a lot of things from 84se that I plan to bring w me in case my 85se may need them. I'm trying to lighten my load and concluded that I won't need my 13b 6port stock engine, tranny and header going forward. I'm considering leaving them in Ohio for my buddy Ken to sell here. Is anyone interested in those items? 86k on both, 63k of which I drove myself. Any reasonable offer considered. If interested I will bring them w me in mid May. I can vouch for these items.

Mr. Tools, I was actually thinking the only future for that 84 silver GSL with the Pany’s on it was to put it back together with a 13B, so if any of you OGTA’s out there are interested let’s get together with Mr. Tools and see what we can do. I'm about to take it apart, so let me know soon.

Now you guys with the issues with the White One, let’s start with the numerals.

First of all, you guys need to review your Roman Numerals. XVI was 1982, the year the 49s beat the Bengals

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XVI.

The White One I was a historic vehicle, here she is at road Atlanta:

The White One II is now the Ghost, in the good hands of Carlos, who brings good things back from the dead.

Name: acarlos_zpsfac2a5e1.jpg
Views: 41
Size: 143.4 KB

The White One III is the Old School 83 GSL I picked up for $400 on craigslist, because I thought the guy’s asking price of $300 was undignified:

The White One III is going to kick ***, you watch, with fresh paint and the TW12A under the hood it will be very very cool.

Just vote for me.

And it will be totally proper, I assure you.

About the wheels Mike, of course you're right, she needs her vintage correct LE 14” wheels for her daily work.

Which she will have, properly refinished:

Size: 106.8 KB

The Panasports, a sugary treat for weekends, will be outfitted with gummy tires and saved for special occasions.

Name: c_zpsumxf5g8k.jpg
Views: 40
Size: 104.5 KB

Like when I need to go over to Road Atlanta and show you, Robert and Tommy how it’s done.

Speaking of pushing the limits, I sure do miss this guy:

Name: MrWankel.jpg
Views: 23
Size: 58.8 KB

The good news is, we still got this guy:

BretAutotoxing.mp4

So Brett, do me a favor and don’t jump out of any airplanes, OK?

Me tools, if the collective OGTA doesn't want that motor, I do have interest in it.

I also think I have a maroon horn cover that came off my fb wheel that I was going to put in the Miata.
