It was the glasses, looks like somebody following you, which of course nobody was 'cept Ben and Juno. Icemark, sounds like you were a pain in the ***, nice work!

Hello all. I'm here on recommendation actually, since my FB's not really a 12a, but hey, it's still an FB rotary, right? It's the thought that counts

I just recently bought an '84 GSL-SE. My favorite of all Rx7's. But this thing's in DIRE need of restoration/salvation. I'm looking forward to going to some OGTA meetings in the future. Hopefully I can get some input for restoring this poor thing.

See thread here:

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-general-discussion-207/fc-owner-finally-gets-fb-picture-intensive-844635/

This thread's waaay too long, so I haven't found out when/where the meets are. I'd love to join in, although I may be driving my FC for a little while, until the FB gets some tender lovin' care!

Your signature makes me remember some thread you made... but I forget which one.

I'll give the info this time... We meet at Jeffery's Sports Bar in Sawnee the 1st tuesday of every month. Directions are on the first page of this thread. If you come in the FC, you'll only score us .5 points, but it's alright since there'll be more FC love Anymore Q's, just ask!

EDIT- the Monza/ Pacesetter thread... I remembered! Or I just looked

Congrats Billy for being let back in the Union and welcome Terrence and your new SE-X.
That's an interesting interior, might appeal to some of the FC crowd

Yeah the meetings are first Tuesday of the month in Suwanee, not Sawnee (Brett's been going downhill since he graduated HS last month). Where's Kingsland anyway?

So Crit, where ya' moving to?

Well Ray. We will always have the new and improved bwaits_

I will use it mostly. I want to keep the two accounts separate. One for business the other to screw with you guys

That is correct. One for business and one for pleasure.

We'll have to see how the next year goes, but we may have to give FCs a full point for OGTA. The "Cash for Clunkers" Bill may just see them all gobbled up, and make the parts harder to find than FB stuff.

http://jalopnik.com/5285032/

85 is the cutoff, so don't expect this to eat into FBs too bad.

****, I was gonna clunker my FB's in for a new 3rd gen Miata in a few years. Looks like I'm driving GSLs for life.

So let me get this straight Billy, this handle is the one you use for business:

Re-Speed.com
RE-SPEED.COM
RX7Club Vendor

And this handle is the one you use to screw us guys for pleasure?:

"the new and improved bwaits_"

Or is it the other way around?

Thanks for your help with this Kent!

OK, we need to attend to some business matters, like how and when to schedule the summer OGTA meetings.

It looks like we have two must-do weekend events, ZoomFest (weekend of July 18-19) and Crit's Lake House (weekend of August 15-16?).

Then we have the usual 1st Tuesday meetings on Tuesday July 7th and Tuesday August 4th, with another on Tuesday September 1st.

Any comments?

Well, I'm thinking that the lake house is an official OGTA event, but not Zoom-Fest. Some OGTA can't afford to attend, plus several folks won't be OGTA at all. I'd vote for a July meeting, then ZF, then the lakehouse to augment to August meeting, though I might move the weekend forward a week or two.

What are people's plans like in August? When do kids go back to school, and when does college start?

-EDIT-

Just saw that Ma Tech starts on Aug 17th, so I expect other schools do too. How 'bout the weekend before, unless someone starts sooner than Tech?

I'll try to make it down for at least ZF or Crit's lake house. I will try for both, but I don't know for sure. The dates are not important for me..whatever works for the most people.

I like Crit's idea for an earlier August date for the Lake House OGTA Event. We've got August 1-2 and August 8-9 for August weekends, which should it be?

Also we need more names for the First Annual OGTA Car Show trophies for the Lake House Event. (Only official card carrying OGTA members are eligible for the Car Show)

So far we have:

1) First in Show Trophy

2) The FB Trophy (or Second Best FB, if an FB is First in Show)

3) Miles Most Traveled in an FB Trophy (Kent this includes SE's)

4) SA Trophy

5) Old School Trophy

6) ??

Others?

First tuesday... I may not be able to make those unfortunately. Aside from the fact that it's pretty darn far from me. Kingsland is the very southeast corner of GA. It's where Kings Bay Naval Base is.

I'll have to hope for the day that I get enough time off to meet up one day

For some reason, I don't think FC owners would be big into that interior either. It's gross, even for a kid.

I painted my S5 bumper, removed the old S4 one and taillights, installed the S5 one, put in new taillight seals, painted the tag holder-surround black on and put it back on, and switched out the short 2" mid pipe and put the proper 2.5" one on with double the gaskets and new bolts, also getting rid of the exhaust leaks.

If I'm motivated tomorrow (and it's not raining) I'm going to maybe mess with a few alternators, my ignition, and make the A/C and P/S stop wining at start up... Fun fun! And I am like 2500 miles past my oil change- maybe I'll change that too.

Ray, do we need to name anymore? If so, I propose an FD Trophy.

SA/FB parts in Commerce:

http://greenville.craigslist.org/pts/1215198802.html

I agree with Brett, a Clean Interior/Engine Bay Trophy would be nice. Here's the updated list:

1) First in Show Trophy

2) The FB Trophy (or Second Best FB, if an FB is First in Show)

3) Miles Most Traveled in an FB Trophy (Kent this includes SE's)

4) SA Trophy

5) Old School Trophy

6) FC Trophy

7) Most Improved Trophy

8) Clean Interior/Engine Bay Trophy

I'll start cleaning up and assigning the Trophies in the next few days.

Not so sure about the FD Trophy, what'd all think?
