Ray, I am going to post some pictures soon of the shell I got from you. I fixed all the rust issues and I am painting the engine bay Monday.

That's great news Martin, another FB rescued!

Are you painting it to the original silver or are you going white like your SE? (hint: Silver is nice, White is better).

I'm looking forward to seeing your progress!

I am going to paint it white. Chaste white from an FD. I have a red interior and I am getting a full grey interior. I am trying to decide which one I want to use.

"I have a red interior and I am getting a full grey interior. I am trying to decide which one I want to use."

Go with the grey Martin, then we can barter for your red interior!

Brett the solenoids are 35 year old original and so is all the rubber plumbing.

I refinished the hard line manifold in gloss black engine enamel since the cadmium finish was too far gone.

Ray, I am leaning toward the grey interior. It was taken out of a car 20 years ago and stored inside. It should all be in immaculate condition.

replaced all coolant hoses, bypassed heater core, removed rad dipped, pressure checked and flushed it till I got clear distilled water then charged w 50-50 Prestone. Have new water pump but opting to install when weather cools off. Have new plugs to install and getting new cap and rotor soon. Runs great. The plugs put in at DGRR were for Rx8 which aren't correct.

I LIKE IT, What I like more is that it has a back seat, I have never seen a fb with a back seat. I have been thinking about converting my fc with a back seat for the kids.

brett the plugs we got at DGRR worked well. I didn't know they were for an FC till recently. Been brought to my attention that they aren't really good match for my SE. Guess I need a stronger pair of coils to use those properly. Put 2500 miles on them and they look great but I put in BR9EQ-14's today and I swear they feel smoother on acceleration and idle a bit smoother. Maybe I'm imagining but these are the right match for mine.

Martin people do like the grey better for some reason.

If you have a mint grey interior that's the way to go, another FB show car for sure.

Me, I prefer red, so let me know if you want to sell your red interior stuff.

Phil the yellow SA is spectacular!

It's good to know somebody still knows about and respects History.

Kids in the backseat, how cool:

A brief apology to my Hispanic friends: I apologize for that white piece of dung who calls himself Donald Trump.

He's a racist pig. Joseph Arpaio is also a racist pig.

They both need to spend a little time in the pen themselves, they might grow up a little bit.

Sometime over beers I'll tell you about the weekend I spent in the Pima County Jail.

Thirty people in the holding pen, I was the only white guy, the others were all Indians and Mexicans.

We passed the time peacefully and as quickly as we could.

Very nice people really, not a murderer, rapist or child molester in the bunch.

They were just poor and not white in Tuscon Arizona in 1972.

Apparently the situation is the same in 2017, thanks to folks like Donald and Joe.

So to all my non-white friends, I apologize for all the white folks who don't know any better.

Please remember that Donald Trump is not an American (he was actually born on Mars).

He does not represent the United States of America. You will see.

Update on the LE:

I refinished my spare set of LE wheels, this was practice for the better set on the LE:

And installed the RB exhaust system, it was a perfect fit.

Here's the refinished tail mount hardware:

Too dark for pics this evening, more later.

Sorry I try to stay out of poly talk, but what prompted this rant? Did someone on here write something?

Ray, just do what I did from years 2008-2016. Turn off the radio. I too started out thinking that man will doom us all, but then I tuned out. I figured if its gonna go **** up I can't stop it so why care.

Anywho. I just spent some time in a red interior S3. Gotta say it wasn't as bad as I thought. I'll still stick with the grey S3 stuff over the red.

Ray is his own "prompt" in the "poly" world. Yours is sound advice but it won't quell the raging Ray.. lol

No Rant and Rage coming from me, only friendly conversation about important issues of the day.

Rant and Rage, along with Anger and Hate, are the tools of the Right.

Just tune into the daily rants, rage, anger and hate of Limbog, Hannity and Trump if you don't believe me.

And no decent American needs any more prompt to call out and denounce racism than Donald Trump abusing the presidential pardon to free an outlaw sheriff convicted by a federal court of racial profiling.

Late on a Friday night during a hurricane. Such Courage!

Again, I apologize for the Cowardly White Dung in the White House.

RB exhaust is in, snug up and bolted together and the LE is back on the ground ready for the Next Phase.

Pics of the RB exhaust:

Ray I love my RB exhaust/header. Nice tone, get those little "pops" on deceleration and sounds great idling in the garage (lol). They make a system especially designed for us fuel injected rotor jockeys on the 84-85 SE 6 port only. The presilencer is superb. Let's the engine breathe nicely. Good stuff!! Looks great so far!!

Thanks Paul. As you can probably tell from the number of exhaust pics I'm partial to RB systems myself.

And I agree, the best part is that throaty RB rumble, which could be happening in the next few days.

Stay tuned!

(and hopefully Trump won't do or say something stupid for a few days, save me the trouble of another Trump post)

I'm beginning to understand how Trump got elected.

Between the caffeine-spiked expresso stout, the Partagas cigars, the snifters of crovoisie' and the opioid epidemic, those Republicans have got the Average American so snookered he'd vote for Bozo the Clown.

Which of course is what the Average Joe Blow did.

And now we've got Bozo the Clown in the White House.

Nice looking Panasports on that SA Martin, there ain't nothin' like the Real Thing!

Great combination, Panasports and 1st Gens.

Especially on White 1st Gens.

I just dug the 15" Panasports out of the shed yesterday, they're going on the White One III:

I'm going to professionally refinish them this weekend, I'll post pics when done.
