Marco, you said that a year ago, and it wasn't ready for DGRRX. Don't be disappointing me.

Crit, Kristy and I saw that the other day. I think we should pick a 2nd night of the month and start meeting there too. Twisted Tavern/ Jeffrey's has been good to us, and I don't think Ray could change at this point, he has enough trouble remembering the name changes.

Holly, I'm a liberal. I'm always willing to change my mind if it makes better sense. Unlike some conservatives I know.

Twisted Sister, Tilted ****, its all the same to me.

But Crit, do you really think those Mall of Georgia folks would put up with a bunch of suspicious looking rotor heads congregating in the parking lot?

Tim, I hear your pain. How about if we have an OGTA meeting at your house sometime, that way you won't have to travel?

We're only talking about one exit on 85. If they throw us out, we'll roll back to Jeffrey's.

And Tim, you can't say Smyrna's better. Nobody knows what MoG's staff looks like yet! You'll have to come over so you can gauge the two.

But what if Twisted Sister gets pissed because we moved the monthly meet and jilts us, won't let us back? Then where to do we go?

I like Holly's idea, have some test meetings over there and see how it goes.

Change is Bad! If you change the location, and not all the folks get the word, then someone is bound to show up at the old local and get upset.

Mods could change the first post with location details for new people.

I vote for the idea of a 2nd monthly meet at a new location. Then the regulars/ old people who never check the thread wouldn't get upset with the first monthly meet being at the original location.

Smyrna works for me. It's about 50 miles (round trip) closer to me!

Yep, sort of a collection of old guys racing the #63 RX-8. Having fun getting together making memories with maybe some of their last driving experiences in the 24Hours. See this article:
http://www.news-journalonline.com/ra...n-24th-24.html

Good luck to the #63 Eight, I hope they hang in there until the finish.

Holly

Hey, I don't mind the ornaments!

Jim is holding down that #18 spot, looks like he'll be behind the wheel when they end this thing in 30 minutes.

Wow, 69 years old and finishing a 24 hr GT race. Now I know what I want to be when I grow up.

Go Jim!!!

The location is much better Crit . It's about 80 miles round trip closer for me .

Thinking about a new truck. Thoughts? I really don't want an automatic in it.

The Feb meet is tomorrow and I think it is too late to change the location now. So for tomorrow let's do the Twisted Sister (Twisted Tavern for everyone but Ray).

I like the idea of testing out some other places. Let's try to do a Feb meet part deux. We virtually the whole month of Feb to pick a date.

Always great to see some rotaries and rotary legends on the big stage, and he is local.

What happened in the last 30 minutes? I watched the morning coverage until time for church and then I saw all the posts about rotaries out front. When I checked on the finishing order, 2 Porches came out on top.

Jim was first in the 69 and older class.

If you had watched the last hour of the race (God wouldn't mind) you would have seen him tooling around the track with the Big Boys. That Orange car was hard to miss.

And say what you want about RX-8's, they sure put in a good showing down there, seemed like every other car had a rotary in it.
