"I tried pulling that **** at the last Old School Meet at Mary Alice park and got bitched out twice by a guy with an old Honda..."

You mean this guy Brett, the one with the FC-eating Honda Civic?

Collin, I didn't realize Wanda was so Old! I have new respect for the old girl and as an 85/86, she should be good to go at the OSJC shows this summer since they are counting anything 25 years old or older (and from Japan, of course - Brett will have to wait another year or two).

There I go again.

Edit - Billy you suck.
Maybe so on the 1970 part, however, show me a 1970, 12A powered car here in the US.

So, let me get this straight... if your car isn't old enough, you can't even attend? That's silly. We of the OGTA don't discriminate against Mazda Rotaries and Mazda Boingers. Sure, they don't count well on the points scale, but still. Holly's 3 has been long since welcome, and Kristy's Doggie-Box xB.

Well, they are not we. I am sure they are not going to ask you to leave, but may have you park in a specific place. I have seen newer cars there in he past.

This is correct, they welcome anyone to show up but if your not in their old school classification you have to park in another area. Last year it was no big deal as my 94 was parked right along with the rest of the cars and no one even mentioned it.

I was half asleep when I wrote that post.. lol Re-reading it, I'm going: wtf... I didn't even complete my thought at all.

What I meant to say is that I thought it was silly that it sounded like anyone with a newer car couldn't go, and what I was getting at is that TRUE meets (like the OGTA) don't discriminate years.

I dunno, I was 'effing tired and not even thinking hahahha

Haha well a "true" meet or not. It is an "old school" meet. Which kinda means the people attending it WANT to see OLD cars. So putting a date cutoff for the cars that will be gathered in the main hangout areas for display makes sense. So if you attend and bring an old car, park it with the others and show it off. If you drive a new car, well, you probably attend the meet because you want to see some older ones. And even if you drive a 96 Maxima, when you go, you'd be upset if you were looking at all the cars, wanted to take a sweet group photo cause you're an old car fanatic, and someone parked THEIR 96 Maxima in the middle of 8 Datsun Z cars.

Also at the OGTA, we tend to group the rotaries together and Holly and the others park a little ways away from the Rotaries.

That really brings it into a good perspective, I guess we're the same way too then.

On a side note, since a few of you have seen the 86 GXL parts car I've got, the guy who owned it when it was complete saw a tread of mine and posted. So I looked around and found a pic of what it used to look like in 2006.

And now...

And I found this too, maybe Ray'll like it!

Supposed to snow on Tuesday. Depending on road conditions not sure if I will come. Traffic is going to be ******* horrendous if even the THOUGHT of snow arises in the ATL area.

If you get off work early, you are welcome to come hang out at my house to beat the traffic.

Funny. You will have to wait till it runs like crap, the paint is pokadoted, has 150 to 200K on the body, and I'm tired of dealing with it before you get a deal like that from again from me...

While we're on the contentious subject of fry in the parking lot, get car-jacked, discriminatory, douche-bag, non-OGTA car shows.....

Hey, here's a cool idea. Since it's supposed to be raining, snowing and sleeting tomorrow evening for our scheduled monthly meeting, how about if we move it to Saturday and do a joint with OSJC?

Isn't it in the bylaws the standard monthly meet can never be canceled?

oh Yea it is........

Section 235, Article 12, Sub Article A:

a) The meeting date for said event shall be the first Tuesday of the month. Said event shall happen without cancellation or disturbance. Any one found not participate in said event due to "cold" weather shall be ridiculed online for the following four weeks or until participation has been proven within a sanctioned OGTA sub meet.
