So we dedicating the July 2010 to RX-8's or what? We could maybe count them as a Full 12A Equivalent (that's 1 FTE for you Young Guys) just this one time. Give 'em a chance against us FB's.

Just looked at an RX-7 somewhere in Georgia, This RX-7 would fall in the category of a barn find! one owner almost perfect condition sitting for the last 7 years. Dont think too many of these are left in the world.

 

Hey anyone think we can have a meet on a Wednesday or Friday soon? I almost always get those days off because one manager does Mon Wed Fri closing and I do every Tues Thurs and Sat closing. That's why I miss like every OGTA these past few months, but I'd love to come to an OGTA related thing again. I thought it was going to be Zoom Fest but.... well you know. Either way I miss the group a ton and would love to come out again...

If you want to come hang out on a Sunday, Holly and I have found a fun group to run with. GA Sports Car Club does Road Rallies normally the 3rd Sunday each month. Next month is their yearly picnic but August will be a great rally, Monte Carlo style.

I asked off for next Tuesday so I can make the next meet. It has been too long and this is the last meet I could attend before I move. My chirping throwout bearing won't stop me!

So today I go to my friend's apartment complex to take her to work. I go in for fifteen minutes, and some ******* in a gay purple dodge caravan parks like 3 inches into my space crooked (I was fully centered in my spot as I always am) and hits my passenger front fender with their driver's door. I am just so pissed that I have to vent because I could never bring myself to do what I REALLY wanted to do when I saw the small dent and paint transfer (purple paint, ugh). If I was more immature and didn't hold back I would have gotten the tire iron out of my trunk and removed a wheel or smashed in a tail light. Instead I just saw the mark, and just yelled a kind of unpleasant grunt/growl noise, and my friend spat on the windshield to make me feel better. I don't think the ******** will even notice because the van is so run down they just don't give a damn, but man I am pissed, yet proud that I didn't do anything, and I never asked my friend to do what she did so no guilt there.

I'll look into the rally, I think I will be out of town though, and Billy, the car is a convertible with no roll cage or hardtop so it doesn't pass the requirements to run, and I told my grandmother I'd visit her in FL since I have that weekend off and I've never visited her by myself and she lit up when I told her, kinda don't want to take that back.

Also I wasn't saying have a monthly OGTA meet moved to a different day, but have a second meet some month, or one of Ray's lunch outings at the Hunan Inn just anything with some people from "the crew" I just miss you guys, not to mention I have some stuff to give to Crit. (flywheel nut, socket adapter, throwout and pilot bearing, his old flywheel back (I had it resurfaced) and I guess if Billy or Crit want the GSL-SE clutch disc and pressure plate(Racing beat street/strip performance PP made by Excedy, was going to sell it but I'd rather it go to an OGTA member), whoever needs it more can have it)

Chris, I'm starting to become worried for you. No matter what you drive, or what it is, something bad always happens.. Why is that? Did you do something to **** off Jesus? Hell, I'm gay and I don't even have quite the bad luck streak you do, and Jesus should hate me!

In all seriousness though, paint transfer (from their car to yours) is a surface blemish. Go get yourself some polishing compound, a clean microfiber towel, and buff it off your paint. White cars are notorious for hiding dents.

Today was a pretty awesome day. Kristy, Holly, two of Kevin's friends, and myself, all hung out at his place today. Kevin made some pretty awesome grub, and then Kevin, the girls, and me, all went to a few places to have an impromptu photoshoot! Kristy probably has the best pictures, and I'm sure she'll post up one or two good ones later... (are you listening...?)

In other news... I vote that we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars... I could really use a wish right now.
