Wow! I didn't know engines counted. I have 2 12As in my garage. If I come
down with them disassembled in the back of my SA will that bring in 3.5 points then?

Ray, I think Billy has a car that needs some TLC that could be the white one you need

Pictures from December OGTA

This is my first attempt to post pictures on this site. So be gentle with me, if these don't work.

Look closely. Ben and Juno managed to capture the elusive 6 port 12A. Tim you show up with one of these and I'll stop giving you crap about your Del Horto.

That video is just great... it looks like the locked up all the tires trying to stop.

For it being so dark out, those are good pictures Mike.

So this yahoo article is ******* Mazda. I'm not too fond of the new Mazda2 or 3, but they're going all the way: http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/auto...-cars-of-2010/

I can't do lunch tomorrow, I'll be in a very important meeting all day. But the window lifter will be in the Silver One, maybe I'll drop it at your house on the way home.

Kudos to you hardy souls for keeping the tradition alive!

Yeah, I surprised myself with how well the pictures came out. We used to have a guy that came to the meetings and took pictures. He wasn't there so I tried out the camera on the Blackberry.

Ray, check your email regarding lunch.

I'm hoping the housings in my 12A's look half as good as those when I tear them down. Where'd you get those LT? What ya' gonna' do with 'em?

Post pics to give us some ideas, the Atlanta Axis is a bit behind the Carolina Axis when it comes to rebuilds.

Mike, it's all part of The Plan. We are trying to draw out New Talent. Nice Pics! I'm thinking we should use this one for the 1-1-11 Calendar Pic

Juno, exactly what do you mean by "One Hundred and Thirty point THREE!!!!"? Is that the average displacement of an OGTA brain?

By the looks of that picture, he's going to cover them in self rising flour and then sprinkle some Nerds candy on them

That's Santa Claus in drag Mike, making his annual OGTA visit. I hope he leaves lots of rotary treats this year!

I'm interested LT, if they're for a 12A and the ones I have are no good. I little porting couldn't be a bad thing, right?

Looks like the high unemployment situation is helping Twisted Sisters snag some excellent talent! I do need to make it down for the next meeting.

Tim, one thing about us liberals is that we are pragmatic, not dogmatic. If a little port action will give my 12A a little extra personality and it's something I can do without taking out a bank loan, sure, why not?

I don't think either of us are smart enough to know what Obama is really up to Mike, but whatever it is looks like it's working and it certainly is clever.

Giving up getting rid of obscene tax breaks for the filthy rich is immoral, yes, but it's the Repub's idea after all, not Obama's (he continues to oppose it).

At the same time, keeping the rich cat tax breaks provides the dems with a great campaign weapon that they will use liberally over the next two years (after all, something like 70% of Americans think that tax breaks for the rich really are a stupid idea).

Bill Clinton has been camping out with Obama at the White House, check out what he has to say this evening. Sounds like the Liberals are going to turn around the economy and save America after all.

Yep, it's getting interesting and it certainly has me thinking very seriously of porting the 12A, could be a good move in uncertain times.

What, exactly, does porting do for you anyway (other than increasing HP)? Does it kill fuel economy? Or help it? Do ported engines last 200,000 miles between rebuilds, like stock 12A's do? Will it idle at stop lights?

Confusing times, yes. But remember what Confucius said: "Mankind shall forever delve in this disordered state called "Confucion", which shall become my greatest legacy".

Which is, of course, where we got the word confusion in the first place.

Wow...

I thought I could get a response but this is pretty deep. I'll have to ponder this for a while.

Slick ***** and Obama camping out? Someone better warn Michelle. ***** is a little fast for Barack.

From what I understand porting can do wonders for hp. But, fuel economy and engine life - not so much.
