got the car fixxed guys! the Negative connector on the starter had gotten super dirty and had like oil on it or something, keeping it from getting a good connection, so i hit it with a ton of engine degreaser, wiped it off and let it dry, wrapped the exposed wire in some electrical tape and put the battery back in and she cranked right up. <3

THANKSSSS!!

but now, when i really get on the gas my enigne is making a high pitched wining sound like something is being stressed when it shouldnt be, so i gotta take a look at that tomorrow.

I think I was up in your neck of the woods Dave. We hiked from Rock Gap to Wayah Bald.

Like Ray said, I can only get a hall pass for GA and the adjoining states.

I had to drop a car at Natahala Gorge for the 2 guys who went on. I was so close to Deals Gap I could taste it. It almost made me take my buddy's Volvo for a ride on the dragon, but I resisted.

Maybe next spring, I can take The Blue One up to DGRR.

Mike, you should do the B3R run with us. You can come up with Holly and the others
coming from down that way.

Maybe we can get Ray up here as well. How about it Ray? Want to come up and
camp in the mountains and drive twisty moutain roads for 2 days with us? Its a good
time and if you register you get a campsite, sat eve meal and a tshirt and stickers.

I don't know Tim, we just got a 55" HD TV, kind of hard to get me out of the living room these days.

Maybe instead of heading for the mountains and getting eaten by bugs you guys came all come over my house and watch my new TV?

Tim, Cathy made the pottery, she made a lot of nice stuff during a brief pottery phase a few years ago.

I thought about trying to join in on the BRRR. It sounds like a great time. Of course I would do my best to talk the professor into coming. But, now that he has this new TV I may never get him out of Jefferson, except for OGTA meets.

I just can't swing the BRRR this year. Michelle is close to finishing up chemo and I just don't feel good about being away again. I'm already thinking about DGRR next spring and BRRR next fall. Are listening Ray?

Early birthday present from my wonderful wife tonight ("just go ahead and get it, your birthday is a month away".)...all Moog steering goodies and new ball joints to go with my Re-Speed bushing kit. I can't waite to get this thing hugging the turns. A new front end should make it easier to push home when it dies too. I grabbed a couple extras from Rock Auto as well in the form of caster wedges and camber/caster ecentric bolts, bastards put that stuff right at the check out like it is candy. Anybody got any tips for tearing this thing down? Pentrating oil will start this week end. Wire brushs, paint, torch, drill bits, heavy duty jack stands...Bud Light.
Should have the front dialed before the end of the month and then on to the rear.
Spring will likely bring a 13BT or I will be Sterling,RB header and any other go fasts I can think of.
YES I am having a lot of FUN.
Oh by the way my wife took a test ride with me on Tuesday. She loved it.

So I stretched the legs on my little yellow 7 yesterday after work, 35 mile cruise out and around 285 with no issues. The next thing I have to do is drop the tank. It has to be full of crap... if I take this thing out on my "race track" (great little loop on I-20 between Moreland and Boulevard- clover leaf off and back on at Moreland and loop back at Boulevard no stops) and drive it hard the tank gets stirred up and I will lose all fuel pressure. Turn the car off and wait a few minutes for things to settle and pressure comes back. You would not believe the stuff my fuel filter has caught!
Trying to figure out a way to get this thing out of the driveway without waking up the whole city at 7:20... sleeping past 7 is for folks that have nothing better to do!

Looking forward to the update Ted, you got some competition. Does anybody know who belongs to this thing? Rumor has it he (or she) lives in Loganville:

Thanks Ray. Went to the inlaws in Blue Ridge to watch the game so the day was spent. I did get to do some reading and it looks like 84 / 85 front disks will be a big upgrade over SA. They would be required if I ever needed Respeed big brakes, so the wish list now includes stock brakes and spindles from 84-85. Anybody got some laying around? Can anyone check pull-a-part north they have a 7(probably picked clean). May price new and will be watching eBay craiglist. Man I wish I had somewhere to put a parts car.
