Yep... You caught me.... I brought that car over from Europe myself.... Wait no... I took an ordinary S4, bought a bunch of crap from Europe, including the VIN, and slapped it on so I could call it a pre production. Wow. I'm sooo freaking creative and have a bunch of money... Wish I knew where it was....

What the hell did I miss?

Update on me: I have mono.. woo hoo.. My CVPI is doing fine, though I may attempt to sell it when I get back from Georgia, and use that money to buy another car further south that's at least a manual. I'd like another Miata or an FC, but a Subaru of some sort would be nice too. The CVPI is only worth around 4.5 - 5 grand on a good day, so.. we'll see what happens. I'd be smart to sell it down in Georgia for obvious reasons lol

Who knows. I miss Wanda, I just don't miss her rather large downfalls. I really want a completely stock FC to start from scratch with.

I'll be getting to GA on the 22nd.

^^ If that's the starter mounted beside the oil neck, which I think I heard Crit say something like the old cars had them mounted like that, that looks neat. The cars look awful close together!

On another note, $400 for these??? http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/2109158585.html... I've barely got more than that into the wheels on my FC now.... lol

yeah that's the starter. the early dual dizzy engines had the top mount starters. they now have cover plates there cause they still continued to use those rear irons.

So the Mitty and DGRR are on the same weekend (I think) The Mitty date hasn't
been announced yet but its usually the weekend of may 1st.

I've never been to DGRR but then again the Mitty is a blast as well.

Decisions, decisions. What are the OGTA crowd doing for these events?

I am thinking about doing DGRR this year. Maybe we can convince Ray that Jefferson will be OK for one weekend without him.

The Mitty sounds pretty good Tim, that was a blast last year. And the Mitty does need more rotary representation, the darn Datsuns took over last year.

Mike what does DGRR stand for? Deal's Gap Rotary Roundup?

You are right, I'm not sure Jefferson can do without me for a whole weekend. The town is kind of hurting now that Collin is gone.

Ok the Mitty is the same weekend which normally I would blow off for DGRR.

But now I just read the announcement on Grassroots Motorsports that the
marshal of the Mitty is Jim Downing and the marque is Mazda. Also there will
be a number of historic mazda race cars shown as well.

http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/events/Mitty11/

I was all set to do the DGRR but now

Holly which are you going to attend? I need guidance.

Compromise and accommodation Tim, that's what it's all about! Now if we can just get Phil to schedule DGRR the weekend AFTER the Mitty, not the weekend before (which is Easter).

I hear ya, I wanted to go to DGRR last year but didn't have a decent car to take.

You guys remember Jim Albert with the red convertible RX7? The one who we got his windows working with a spring at one of the meets and Billy called it a fusible link when it lit up red? And he lives around Mike's neighborhood? His son is giving up on the 'vert and they're going to sell it to me at a good price, so tomorrow evening I should have yet another FC.

Would anyone know of another 'vert that's getting parted out or is just sitting in a junk yard somewhere? This one needs the whole rear end worked on- it rolled into a tree backwards right in the middle... So I need another trunk lid and I need to cut out the section above the tail lights to replace on this car.

I'm back in Georgia.

I decided to drive straight through from Vermont. Took from 9am to 5am to do it.
