Congrats Kevin! Hope to see that Red Beast on Saturday.

Stu bring some Yuengling!

The brake lines look interesting Michael, I wonder how much they cost and if you can get them already fabricated for the FB?

I wonder if you can use them for the flexible lines to the wheels?

Hey you PDX'ers for this Sunday, here's a warning to head Crit and Billy's warning to be sure your equipment is in good shape:

Concerning breakfast at Cracker Barrel Saturday morning at 7:00 am, and all kidding aside, I think is is a great idea and hope to see a bunch of rotor heads there (I know that at least Mike and the Gray Ghost are reliable and I'm a pretty good bet). Here's the last list I could find before the plans disintegrated into administrative details:

Breakfast at CB, Saturday morning July 18, 7:00 am sharp!

Mike
Crit
Ray
Brett
Kevin

This list should prove helpful to the Zoomfest organizers, who can make appropriate plans for the OGTA onslaught around 8:00 am.

It seems to me the general thinking changed to register first then go to breakfast. So let's plan to meet at RA at 7:00 sharp and register. Then those who want breakfast can go to CB. We can then make our grand entrance after breakfast (probably 8:15-8:30), but we will all be registered and can drive right in as a group.

I see now why we can never get you local guys to get organized and go on a Real Road Trip with the RX-7s. We would never leave Atlanta.

Now I guess Ray is going to call me grouchy, like he did Billy.

I didn't call Billy grouchy, Mike did. I just pointed out that he is an administrator and we should have mercy on his poor soul.

For Ye Nay Sayers, here we are promenading out of the Cracker Barrel parking lot a mere year ago for a day trip to the mountains:

Ray,
Oh sorry, I did not finish my thought on the last post. I can't remember what I was going to say.

See you guys Saturday 7:00 AM at Road Atlanta to register.

I hear that the woman doing the Zoom Fest registration is really grouchy. Even grouchier than Billy.

So I decided that I'd get creative and make an OGTA sign for the pop up cover thing Collin's bringing. I bought 4 pieces of foam-poster-board that I'm going to string together (so it folds up), painting OGTA: Old Guys with 12A's on it, and bring sharpies for everyone to sign their name on it. Sound like a plan, guys? Just a mock up:

Of course it'll be neater, straighter, and signature-less before ZF... Any suggestions, too?

Well you are just too creative Brett, nice work!

Looking like a fantastic day tomorrow weather wise, mid '80's, low humidity, lots of sun. Enough to even get an old grouch like me out of the house.

Mike I can't remember what you were going to say either, not sure if it's your alzheimer's or mine.

I just got a RB SP system used for a good price and put it on my SA. Ray you
can check it out at ZF tomorrow.

It looks rough in the pictures but its almost like new. I painted the center section
with black high heat bbq paint. It sounds a lot different than my previous setup
and now I realize that the RE setup I had was a bit restrictive although very
quiet. I'll have to retune my carb now because its running a bit lean.

Heres what I got:

I'm excited too! The car's washed and isn't screwing up on me, my ghetto camera mount is in, and I'm about to start on the OGTA sign.

Quick question for anyone who knows anything- for just the touring laps, are there any requirements for your car? Like will my camera mount be alright in there, and my subs not bolted down to the car and stuff like that (even though they're wedged in there)?

You should rock the gold door

I'm not autocrossing or anything, and the tires on the car now don't stick worth a damn... Are they really that important to be out?

The OGTA SIGN is done! Ya'll are gonna love it
