Ain't that the truth!? Unfortunately I still haven't gotten to meet you'all. I made it to willow springs AOK. Only got rained on once for a minute. Set the cruise at 78 and ended up checking the mileage for the hell of it. 27.02 mpg. I think that's rather remarkable for a 31 year old five letter!
Guys, it has been almost 8 years since I last attended one of the get together's. I know, I am a dick. Still, I would like to start coming again and was wondering when and where the meeting place is now. Thanks, Larry
PS Here is a photo of my 88 Vert taken years ago when I first met you guys. And she is still as beautiful as she was when this photo was taken.
You might want to think about switching candidates Tommy, less stress.
Also, I just noticed your quote:
"I am, and ever will be, a white-socks, pocket protector, nerdy engineer. Born under the Second Law of Thermodynamics, steeped in the steam tables, in love with free body diagrams, transformed by Laplace, and propelled by compressible flow." - Neil Armstrong
Now let me tell you a true story (no kidding). I actually met Neil Armstrong back in 1968 at Purdue University, when he was there for the dedication ceremony of Chaffee Hall (Roger Chaffee, astronaut; my parents knew his parents). I shook his hand, he was the picture of cool, in 1968, in his aviator sunglasses. I was sixteen, he was designated to be the first man on the moon. Which is of course what he did.
very cool info Ray. My grandfather shared an office with Buzz Aldrin for a while. One day he wasn't there. Come to find out he was accepted to the space program.

Does anyone else in GA have a bridgeported 12a (obviously in an FB/SA)? I desperately need something to compare mine to as I do not believe its tuned/synced/carbed correctly and/or balanced etc.
It stutters bad on partial throttle and vibrates quite a bit. This may be common for all bridgeports which I assume is why people typically streetport for the rd but I won't know until I ride/drive in another.
^If you bring yours to the meet I might be able to tell you if it feels right or not
I'm going to try and make it out to my first rx7 meet ever in GA and first one in well over a decade. The timing is great too. Both the FB and FD are running at the moment! Yay, I love the rotary. (Or atleast right now)
Well, literally as of 9:00pm last night we somewhat unexpectedly purchased our first home. In the blink of 24hrs money just got very tight and I'm contemplating selling the L.E. for what I got into it. I don't think I am going to actively throw it on Craigslist or anything but maybe on these forums. I figured I would offer it up to you local Lads first. If this needs to be in the "for sale" thread then I will put together a more comprehensive post but for now I'm just throwing it out there.
If anyone is interested pm me and I can give you further details. Due to my crappy phone, only a few pics were able to be uploaded this morning but I can take as many as you like. If I end up keeping the car then I will definitely meet up one night to see your bridgey 12abridgeport!
Well I have some bad news, Erica was involved in an accident last week and we currently await the fate of her rx7. The most important part is no one was hurt and she was not at fault. Needless to say, this is a very upsetting moment. Hoping it can all be repaired given all that we have been through with the car but if not, we will be on the hunt for a new Mazda.

obviously happy to hear the wife is ok and better yet not her fault.! Man I'm sorry to hear about your 7. When a 7 takes a hit it's not just a car, it's personal, it's family!! Hope it can be restored and if not hope you can find another to quickly heal the pain. Good luck!!
