Ray, sorry man, I hope not all is lost, but if it is, I hope the silver one lives to be as pretty and as nice as the white one.
Anyways, here are the pics of Karl's car which you guys will see tomorrow. Kevin's wheels really made the car complete, so thanks Kevin. Sorry these pics took so long to get to.

Lots of rotors
iTrader: (33)
-The center piece that snaps in the arm rest where the radio balance adjuster is, just not one with a radio balancer, a plain one
-Both grey door panels
-All the dash vents, the glove box handle, the door cups under the handles, the center radio surround, the shifter surround, and an ashtray that aren't painted a shitty black
-An un-warped grey glove box cover
-An antenna!
Not much really I can think of. But I must warn you that I am broke, and I'd have to get you money later once I get my first check since school tuition sucked up all my money. If you're moving before then though I understand. Or if you weren't talking to me I'll feel stupid...
Wow, Karl's FB looks great. Either the paint's great or Chris worked some magic on it Regardless, sweet car. Glad to have you with us!
And I'd totally help out with the silver one, too, Ray. Then the white one can take it's spot waiting for another motor

It's not too bad though the driver's side paint is just as good, but it is missing the trim between the side markers and the roof needs paint. Other than that not too bad till you look at the interior.

Looking good Karl! Looks like you found a nice set of X wheels! What tires are those, they look like good ones.
Thanks for the condolences and offers of help folks, I really appreciate it! I had a dream last night that I put some sea foam it the back rotor and let it soak all day today and it worked, so I'm going to give that a try before throwing in the towel.
I'll be there this evening but probably in a boinger, what shall it be, the Jeep or the MP5? But by Saturday I might be either back in the White One or sporting a new Silver look, we'll see.

Ray, if the worst proves true would you rebuild an engine (ported?) for the white one or leave it for dead and move on to the silver one? I've always wondered why you had a whole second car as a backup, as an engine swap between the two would probably be less work than getting the silver one fully sorted and road-worthy.
If it's just a clever ruse to keep 2 cars, then I totally understand. Lord knows I've been there. I just wanted to get the story straight should I see Cathy again soon.

True enough Crit, that's what Cathy said, why don't I put the silver engine in the white car? Hmmm I said.
Because I'm tired of White and I want to try Silver for awhile?
The silver one has some nice features, low mileage (102,000), former garage queen, 2 1/4" exhaust with an RB header up front and a puny little stainless steel muffler out back, the one the ricers die for, kind of like Stu's, only smaller, and I like the silver color.
Now that I've said that the White One will probably come back to life and I'll have to drive white for another year.
But if the White One does stay dead, yeah then she becomes the project car, a sure candidate for a mild street port and one of those new fangled del Horto carbarueters.
And since you have 5 cars (three of them rotaries) I am sure you understand, you are there now!
You don't still have those red leather seats by any chance? I could use them for my long term plans!
Cathy helped me tow the Silver One out of the woods last night, she looks pretty good, don't you think?

Greg The Elder
So who's going to be at the meeting tonight?
Last Month Greg Wilfry was talking to somebody about Substitute coolants for his air conditioner. Mine still has the R-12 system and needs charging. Should I have it converted to the new coolant or are there low cost substitutes for R-12 out there?
PS: The 68 Dodge Dart is for sale.

Sorry to hear your White one is ailing Ray. That grey
one looks like it just needs to be cleaned out and some
seats installed and your good to go.
So were the wasps a dealer installed option or aftermarket?

I'll be there but I'll be boinging it too.
Tim I've still got a bit of work to do, here's a shot of the engine bay I just took and the front calipers are in the shed. Lot's of detailing to do too.
Those wasps were nasty, they got me good. But Cathy pulled out that super lethal wasp spray and they were all dead in about 30 seconds.
Greg post photos of the Dodge!

That's a pretty damn clean enginebay Ray. Now I have to go clean that before this weekend. Thanks I just got done steel wooling the rear hatch and half windows. They had many, many years of buildup on them that windex wouldn't touch. 0000 Steel wool kicks ***!! Now for the front windows and shield.

I've always liked using steel wool on glass and chrome, it works great. Purists say it scratches, but I don't think they have ever tried it, I never get any scratching. Looking forward to seeing your work this weekend Dave.
The Silver One will look and run every bit as well as the White One when I get done, I just picked up a clay bar this afternoon and will see what I can do to bring back the original paint. If not, it's time to think about a paint job, that silver color is very forgiving.
She's out of the woods, parked in the drive and had a preliminary bath to get the major grime off. I just took three days off work to see what I can do for the rest of the week, she might make it to Crit's Lake House this weekend, with a little luck.
Getting ready to head out to the monthly OGTA meeting! (In a boinger, how embarrassing can it get)
Cool, Larry is coming over!

An old man at a shop I worked at when I was young taught me the benefits of 0000 steel wool. Never looked back since The funny thing to me is that I wonder how they think the glass got to that polished state that they are looking thru. It's all about scratches when polishing stuff. I may attack my wheels before the day is over. Have a burger and/or beer for me tonight everyone.
