Mike Crit is headed for Australia so he can smuggle RX-2 parts back into the states, I doubt he'll be changing those plans.

HotMaz, we do it ourselves down here in Georgia. My middle piece got wonked last spring by a 10 foot long, 40 lb. hunk of retread left in the middle of Interstate 85 by a couple of homeboy wrecker's from Converse (Seymour Wreckers), who were sitting on the side of the road enjoying the action as rush hour traffic kicked their load violaton down the road, tearing up car after car. Here's the photos of the damage and repair, a backyard job with a Rustoleum finish:

Updated Mountain list:

Bret
Chris
Ray
Mike
Colin
Tim
Kevin

Lining up for last year's Mountain Day:

And some mountain music:

You know, Ray, you're not the only guy who should be able to ***** his car out all over the interwebs.

Mountain Drive - March 21

Like Ray said, here is the list so far.

Brett
Chris
Ray
Mike
Colin
Tim
Kevin

Colin, I think Brett lives on the 985 side of the lake, so I guess you do. But, I don't think Tim does.

Here is tentative plan: Meet at the Cracker Barrel in Winder (where we met last year). Take off around 9:00. Shoot up the road to 985/23. Take 985/23 to 17 and head over to Helen. I'll play with the route over the weekend and send it out to everyone. Basically, we'll follow the route Brett gave us, but we'll do it from the East side (985) of the lake.

Tim, it would be cool if you could meet us at the Cracker Barrel. But, it might be easier for you to meet us somewhere closer to Helen. We'll work it out.

I am looking forward to this. I am even going to try to wash my car between now and then.

Can you guys live with a 9:00 take off?

woah, wait. Winder craker barrel and hellen?I don't know where that cracker barrel is, and I thought we were doing Suches runs, not Hellen.

I like the Shell gas station at the end of 400, that I canget to, and it's at like, the foot of the mountain run.

Chris, I noticed that none of the image tags work in signatures all of a sudden. Maybe there's a sticky, but I don't care enough about 7club mods and changes that I can't be bothered to look.

Oh yeah, Chad. Nice Find! I hear those RX-2's are the ultimate, 'course I only listen to Crit.

Chris, I'm working on a map that will make everything crystal clear. It has to do with Alzeimer's and Old guys and that cheddar place.

Collin, to follow up on your IM, you don't want a 1.8T Audi. Nice cars, but expensive to maintain. I speak from experience.

Tim and Colin live like 5 mins from each other off of Hwy 20... like 10/15 mins from Exit 14 on 400... I'm not a stalker, I just remember them talking at OGTA And I'm off of exit 17, so our best bet would be to go up 400. I'm not trying to plan for them or anything, just thinking the most logical way for them to get up there .

So we'd be running the route backwards if we started in Helen, right? And end towards the end of 400?

Bingo. That is the idea. Since I think most of the folks are on the 985 side of Lake Lanier starting in Helen makes sense (to me anyway). The only question is at what point do the guys going down 985 start heading back toward Cleveland. It looks like after going through Suches and heading down 60 to Porter Springs that might be the place for the folks on the 985 side of the lake to start heading home.

You guys that have been on the run before, what do you think?

We still need to work out a place to meet up with everyone that is fair to the guys from the 400 side of the lake.

As far as Cracker Barrel goes, I picked that just 'cause we left from there last year, and we have met there for other events. Oh, and most importantly, it is closer to the rotary center of the universe (Jefferson, GA). Anyone have other suggestions?

Now I am headed to the garage to put on the cat with stuff inside to go and pass my final emissions test. I know this is out of character for me, but I am really excited.

I almost went for the squirrel jerking off, but I just couldn't do it.

Ya, ray it will be awesome to be able to take both my little girls with me finally. Mine by far is no where as nice as crit's and will need alot of work. But other than the gas door, the horn button emblem, one hubcap, and the correct mirrors, I think she is complete minus the metal thats missing in places.

We could meet at my place...Im 1 mile off 985 exit12. I would go up 985 until it turns to 365, left on 52, and 52 runs into 129 near cleavland but its all backroads so you dont have to go thru all the shitty part of 129 in Gainesville.
