No, you search rotary pickup on eBay, and you get these damn rotary switches and ****. It was driving me crazy....

But yes, I'm still trolling eBay and elsewhere for a REPU.

So Tim, what do you lack to finish the FPD? Did you get the solenoid rack loose like you wanted, but broke one solenoid while you were at it? Will a new solenoid have you back on track?

I'll be happy to wrench on it with you - just tell me if you need any tools or perhaps some fancy wrenches and I'll see if I can help.
Rack is still firmly in place. I'm not sure if it is all the hoses holding it in or what. The metal is unbolted and moves, but none of the nest moves.

I got earlier on saturday (before 4) and all day sunday to work on it if you got time.

They did something and now I am stuck with the standard crap.

I do not feel like I am hording anything though, simply holding onto them until the new owner pops up,

I have a powder coat setup. We could do 2 wheels at a time.

Wheels must be cleaned of all paint, dirt and plastic parts. Completely bare.

Powder coat is cooked at 400 degrees. Although shops do aluminum wheels all the time, some feel the cook temp changes the strength of the wheels.

Comprent was looking to coat some wheels from the Porsche RS cars. They called the Porsche race engineers that told them not to heat them higher than 250 Deg.

There are some low temp powders. Not as many color choices.

Yeah, I've heard powdercoating can mess up aluminum wheels. I should probably just get a set of stock ones in black (since my brother wants my wheels anyway). Too bad everyone on that forum wants a mint for used parts.

No problems powdercoating it. The glass transition temp for Aluminum-Silicon at 80%/12% (which is common for most aluminum alloys) is around 560deg F. If you're not getting near 560, you're in the clear.

Some nice new powder coated "X" wheels would sure look good on the Silver One. And I have a few extras to play with. What'll that cost me Billy?

$25 per wheel, if you do all the prep work.

I do not have a sand blaster big enough nor do I enjoy sand blasting.

Holy crap no I would't dare do something that mean to most important thing I've got! Those wheels are the same as mine though, just 5-lug instead of 4. And you can see the TURBO badge on that one. Mine sadly is n/a... Where'd you find that?

And noone really knows, but my great-grandmother passed away the day after the last meet. She was the one I lived with... But there was a lot of family around, and the uncle who owner my car before me was here and he leaned-out my car, messed with the TPS a little, and played with the timing. It's running *so* much better now and your eyes dont start to tear up when you stand behind the car anymore. AND my new plugs, fuel filter, and coolant flush-fill are going to go down sometime this week. So my car should be dandy for the next couple of months. Well besides the transmission and differential thing that I'll just do whenever. And I think I'm going to drive my car until the motor decides to just pop, and then swap in the spare motor I've got. Anyways, enough of the rambling. Night OGTA

Sorry to hear about your great grandma Brett, that's gotta be tough. It's good that the family rallied around, she'd like that, and working with your uncle on the car is a good way to pick up the pieces and keep moving forward.

Kevin this is priceless, I don't think I've seen this one before:

Zach it looks like you've started a new trend, posting and reposting irrelevant photos. Nice!

One of these days I'll figure out how to make the pictures big. My guess is host them elsewhere and link?
