HAHA I know your just kidding Ray i just wanted to pull your chain, I understand what you mean completely but there are still cars out there today that are all about the driving, Like you said the Elise and the Miata are prime examples, honestly my favortie car out there now is the speed3, I just wish it came with less bells and whistles

OMG guys I just hooked my choke up. Crit, I don't know how we didn't think of this before, but instead of wrapping that cable around to attach at the mounting bracket and running the little *** on the end of the wire into the little choke lever, I noticed the choke lever was threaded so I mounted the outer sleeve of the choke cable to that, THEN wrapped the wire coming out around the mounting bracket. Now when I pull the choke, instead of the little nub retracting and pulling the choke, it stays stationary while the sleeve moves upward along the line, pulling the choke valve with it.

Whooa, yes! You're gonna love that choke on cold start ups. But when it's really cold, like it's been lately, I've discovered that the choke gives it too much gas even without the peddle, causing it to flood out on cold mornings. When it's really cold I'm finding leave the choke in, turn it over till it starts to fire, then just a little gas, when both rotors get firing quickly turn off the key, set the choke, then back on and life is good.

Just so you know, Ray, Chris' choke doesn't work the way yours does - it's an enriching choke. At idle, the Nikki uses vacuum to suck fuel around the idle jet, and running the tapered needle in and out is the only adjustment. With a choke, you actually choke off the air supply so there's even less air than when you tuned it, and the result is a rich mixture.

Chris' choke actually relieves the vacuum on the top side of his breather that is pulling against what's effectively a second idle circuit. Normally, there's vacuum top and bottom so there's no pressure differential to drive his choke idle circuit. With the top of the carb vented (and hissing like crazy) he meters in an extra dose of fuel, which is specifically jetted. The result is a choke mixture that's independent of the idle screw adjustment.

Assuming it's jetted right, Chris' choke will still deliver a dead-nuts-on mixture to get his car to idle in the cold. Those Dellortos are wonderful things.

Yeah Ray, I've used my choke 100s of times in varying weather, I used to have the pop the hood and do it by hand, now that the cable is hooked up, I can do it in the cabin shielded from the cold wind.

So I picked up those wheels today... it was a fun drive, and it got a little crazy with the girlfriend. We couldn't get them to exactly fit, so we had to get creative

Whooa, you're coming up in the world Kevin, Nice Find! Looks pretty much unmolested and sexy as hell. The Jeffrey's parking lot is going to have a new look.

Only things I can see wrong with it are the steering wheel and the black paint on the rims, both easily fixed. Also the timing looks advanced all to hell, might be something weird there.
