Old guys with 12As club meeting
Sounds good to me. Making plans now to come.
Probably make a long weekend out of it (lots of vacation saved up) and check out the Smokey Mountains on the way back (maybe a run through Deals Gap too
).
Luckily the Blue Ridge Parkway comes right by here. Certainly a nice road to drive. The wife and I are going to make a run along the Parkway this coming weekend. Going to grab some luch/dinner at a lodge here in VA.
Anyway, I plan to make it. Maybe get some of the Carolina boys to come down too.

Sounds interesting, Holly. Not sure if it will work with our schedule or not, though. Also, we don't have any camping equipment. I'm getting a pretty intersting route laid out. Have to still figure out what to see in the Smoky Mtns, but currently have laid out a loop that is just over 1000 mi and about 20hr of driving. Mix of highways coming down or areas that would be travelled at night. Lots of twisty scenic roads for the day.

yup.
I think that it will be fun, though. Even if I just went to the meet and straight back home, it would still be like 850 mi and about 14.5-15hr of driving. This way, I'll be able to see some scenic stuff and enjoy the drive way more than doing all highway. Highway is fast, but boring!
Stu: Do you, Sam, and maybe Tim want to get together Friday evening? Maybe go out to eat? We could meet in Statesville (at Sam's) or in Charlotte or whatever. I'll bring those interior parts down. I also have those 12A irons if you want 'em.

So I may be about to do something stupid. I think the FD is officially going up for sale. As much as it hurts, I just don't think it will get driven enough shortly.
The question is, anyone have a clue what it's worth? 1995, I think a PEP, MB, 70k miles, all original. Honestly, it's in good shape. It will be 100% stock with the exception of the boost gauge and the connection for the air fuel gauge (no gauge, since that's sitting in Crit's center console). Interior is probably a 9, paint is an 8 or so.
I'm probably going to take it over to get the pulsation damper replaced soon. Unless someone wants to take it as is, I'll knock a grand off the price.
So, thoughts?
And no, the 12A isn't going anywhere

Yeah, the value in your car is in its pristine condition. Without a test drive, you won't be able to capitalize on that. It really isn't that hard. I'll volunteer a day, if you've still got all the parts on-hand. You looking at something starting with an E?

I'll admit to being a little nosy, as I looked to see if you've posted details in the FD section. Sho' nuff, there's nothing. What's the status regarding the Pulsation Damper, and what are the obstacles to getting it together? Collin earlier mentioned a broken bolt to me, but I wasn't at the meet to talk to you about it.
Nah, no broken bolts. A possibly stripped screw on the solenoid rack. After that comes out, then it's not too bad to the pulsation damper. The biggest thing that has been in my way has been studying. Test is next friday, so after that, I'll get back on it along with the 50,000 projects around the house.
I'm redoing my bathroom. Started out as a simple window replacement but now I'm replacing an outer wall and raising the ceiling a foot, along with rerouting all the electric. I'm thinking about putting a skylight in, anybody been there done that? Fun project, great weather for it.
I've run out of projects for the White One. All the fluids recently changed (even greased the tie rod ends and rear washer fluid), so not much 7 news.
But I am looking forward to next Saturday and the OGTA/OSJC autumn bash at Lake Lanier.

I've found a guy with some steel channel...4" wide, 1" feet...and he's going to cut it to the length I need and USPS it in a flate rate box because it's so much cheaper than actually driving that far away. Sweetness! Next paycheck I'm gonna have to use for some bearings and whatnot...then this swap is HAPPENIN'!
I'm obsessively excited!
And those One Rate boxes are great. Coworker had a tombstone for his cat shipped in one. Probably weighed 40lbs (exact size of the box slab of granite) cost like $3.95.
