Old guys with 12As club meeting
The pic is of a 2nd gen fuse box. However, you can plug those style of fusible links in your stock 1st gen fusible link block. Just remove your stock links and plugs these in. You need (from top to bottom) 30A - 60A - 30A. If you want more info, look in the 1st gen archive. The username for the person who did the writeup on the conversion is "darkfrost".
Even though they look like a fuse in Crit's pic, they are actually still called fusible links. They are nice to use because they are easy to find and replace. Although the autoparts store should carry the factory fusible link material (make your own links), most guys that work at these places are newbies when it comes to stuff like this (especially older car stuff). Unless you are lucky enough to have a veteran at the parts counter, they will probably just give you a funny look when you bring in a stock link and tell you they don't have it and have never heard of such a thing.

BTW, the plastic fusible links were very common from the mid-80s and up. Junkyards are FULL of them - just find the row of cars that was most recently added and snag a bunch. Anyone with a 1st-gen should have an eye out for these if they want to do it on the cheap.
Don't even have to go to the counter. They are on the shelf with all the other fuses. I agree with Crit. If you have a JY close by, check there 1st. I got my 2nd gen fuse box off the forum and hit the JY for the fuses.
Mike Simonovich has those plastic fusible links in his 85 GS(L). Neat solution but they don't look as cool as the original silk covered fusible links, in my not so humble opinion.
Whoo Hooo! We're on Page 100!

Ray, I see Mike's car refered to as a GS(L).
Curious what exactly that is.
A GS upgraded with the GSL stuff?
And why do I not find it suprising that you think the original SA/FB stuff looks better than any lowly FC stuff???

That automatic must be looking better all the time Collin! Congrats on the new job, that will keep you off the streets.
Greg Mike's GS(L) was originally a GS, but he's added an LSD rear end, the high tech GSL/SE stock sound system and power antennae and maybe some other GSL things I'm forgetting. So he calls it a GS(L).
And yes this:

Is way better than this:

Hey, guys. I have not been online for a while. My wife had surgery on 9/3 and had some complications. She is still in the hospital and will probably be in for 4-6 more days. Things are moving in the right direction, but it will take some time for her to recover. I hope to see you guys at the next OGTA.
I have to go back and read a couple of pages of posts to catch up.

I was looking for that auto crossing photo, couldn't find it. Must be lost to posterity.
Anyway, back to Billy's caption contest:

^^The Rx7 above comes standard with a sunroof. Shown with, LA auto Accessories', optional rain roof. Lower Alabama Auto Accessories offers some of the nicest custom parts in the area. Located right across the Ga/Al line where I-20 turns to dirt.
Well I tried. I popped in to say hello and here's a flyer to the Oct, 25 meet. Check out the flyer...We got an OG/TA'er on there!
