Dave, I think you're right. I just went through the crossroads thread and read all about your ******* of a wastegate. What a punk. Are you guys still thrown out of O'Charley's?

Yep still booted from Ocharly's. I think Tim is checking out the Sonic down the street to see if they are down with us. Ehh The whole thing smells shitty with that situation , but Se la Vi

There is a AutoX up here on Feb 15th at Carowinds if any of the OG's wanted to come up for a event.. I believe I may audition the FB in it's AutoX debut.

Crit, I'll try to give you a call or drop a PM a day or so before I get back at this. Maybe we can tag team these darn pressure gauges. I'll buy the beer if you make your way over to L'ville. But, like I said it may be a little while before I can get back to this.

So I washed the 7 in the <freezing today since I didn't have to work Like 20 pounds of mud came off...

What shall I do about this wheel-gap? I really dont want to chop a half-coil off of the RB springs...

Mike, I can appreciate that you're feeling the pressure of getting your gauge working, but I've got a whole car that I'm troubleshooting right now. When I have the time and means, I've just got too much on my plate right now.

As far as two days go, we don't ***** posts like the crossroads guys, and sometimes there's just nothing new

Anyway, LOST is on, so I'm gonna bounce.

Everyone seems to be losing gauges lately. My speedometer is still not reading anything, and when I went under the car, I didn't know how to disconnect my speedo cable, but it was wiggling pretty freely at the point where it connects to the transmission tunnel, so maybe that's a sign of a bad retaining clip or plate or w/e?

Mike, you might want to think about some prosthetics instead of major heart surgery for the Gray Beast. You have this excellent little spot, made for small inexpensive aftermarket gauges:

Just behind the console housing on the right is an electrical connector for the gauge light so that it lights up at night.

Here's the access hole in the firewall to connect your probe:

Here's what a mounted gauge will look like (you might even be able to fit a double or triple cluster in there):

That's a mechanical temp gauge, about $15 at Autozone (although I found one for the Silver One recently in the discount bin at AdvancedAuto for $8 with tax). Sunpro makes a similar oil pressure gauge for about the same price.

Our 7's love the attention of us dressing them up a bit, they see it as a little jewelry for the special lady. And they get all excited when you stick those little probes in their 12As.

I have been looking at the ashtray for quite awhile now thinking that would be a nice plase to put 3 little gauges. Maybe oil pressure, air/fuel mixture, and coolant temp gauges. There is even switched power there for lights.

Even if I add aftermarket gauges, I still want to get the stock gauges to work.

Suggestion: Outsource it......

Nah, repairs are not too bad if all the parts are still there. Filling big holes form missing parts sucks. What you looking to fix?

I saw that car somewhere but I cant place it at the moment.

I took a rock or something on the front of the lotus. It caught the grill and kinda damaged where it mounts. Not visable, but the grill moves a little bit. Not extremely worried about it. Thought about getting it looked at though. Or may just do it myself.

Tim, you've got one of many FD-del-fuego cars in your garage. I wouldn't expect you'd be extemely worried about the Lotus grille at all.

Holly,

I am going to have to have back out of the Mazmart meet. Friends of our's offered my wife and I thier cabin in the mountains for the weekend.

Before you guys start abusing me for this, do the math -

Lets see: weekend in the mountains with my wife or tell my wife I not going with her because I am going to learn how to rebuild lonely old wankles.

Wrong choice here and I could end up with a lonely old wankle in more ways than one.
