OK guys. I believe I will be there this weekend. The wife wants me to go with her to a friends kids birthday party, or some crap. I think I guilted her into feeling sorry for me, and letting me go, by telling her I've been really depressed here lately, and this was the one thing that would make me feel better. Well........I didn't really lie.

 

i'm a little depressed too... i just put the FC up for sale may or may not actually sell it, but it's probably the best thing for me to do in my upcoming situation.

 

Seeing as your all from close to where I'm moving (Huntersville). I'm wondering if you might chime in on this thread I started about getting my inspection done.

well guys i have3 not missed one yet but this week will be my first. I have some things i doing this morning in morganton and not sure if i will be back in time. if i am and not busy i willl still try to make it if not i will next time with a painted 7 i hope

 

Well.............you guys suck. I can't believe we can't give up just one Saturday a month, for a couple of hours to get together. You guys are about as reliable as your cars.

 

It is really hard for me to make the meets now. I could if they were a bit later in the afternoon.

Sam, calm down. well will get the ball rolling faster this summer.

 

I know, it's just really pissing me off that we can't do any better than this. I know everyone has unexpected things that come up, and that can't be avoided. But it's not like this is a short notice kind of thing. IT'S THE THIRD SATURDAY EACH MONTH. No surprises here. If this doesn't get going any better than this last meet (where I was the only one who showed up), than I give up. By the way, did I mention you guys suck.

guys this is hard to say but there is no possible way for me to make it this time either. My moms side of the family is have there reunion next saturday the 16th. Amy and i did not make it last year because of our wedding so we kind of have to make to go to see every one that came and gave us gifts at our wedding.

Here is an idea. maybe since its summer and lots of people have vactions and stuff planned maybe we should fluctuate from the 3rd saturday thing to get a better turn out???

Also maybe we need to find different meeting place?somthing off the I40 side of Statesville? I think CiCi's isnt the right atomsphere for a club meet.

Ok..........let's just do it this way. If you guys decide to all together maybe, hopefully, kinda, sorta, or what ever, let's try to stick to it this time. The whole reasoning behind trying to stick to a schedule was to make it as easy as possible to plan. When you guys start making changes every time the "meet" doesn't suit you, you are screwing it up for the rest of the group. I guess I'm the only one who is actually giving this thing an effort anyway, so you guys just do what ever.

This is all I am saying........some of us don't have the luxury of up and changing plans at the last minute. As some of you guys know, I am a new Dad, with a 11 month old. The only time I get to spend doing the RX7 stuff is the time we all agreed to have this thing. It's been hard enough getting the one Saturday a month free, but when I'm the only one who shows, and have to come home and expain to my other half why this is so important? Sometimes I have to agree with her. Why is it?

 

because on rare occassion we meet great people... sorry for being a smart a$$...but seriously, i can understand ur point

anyway, i'll be moving to hickory in the next month or so...and planning to start making it to these meets...

 

Sorry for the rant...........just getting it out in the open man...........glad to hear you moving to Hickory. I grew up in Newton. So Hickory is my old backyard.

 

hey, rant all u want...u make a valid point...if ur the only one showing up, then why bother? i mean, u hang out with urself all the time....and well, if u can't rant to the 7 crew, who can u rant to?!?!?

as for myself, i grew up in asheville...got a job at Shurtape in Hickory...any suggestions on particular parts of town i might want to look into moving or avoiding?

 

Staying down around the east side of Hickory is best, like around Conover. If you want, I would suggest the County Home Rd. area. That's where my dad grew up. It's far enough out of down town, but not too far from the Valley Hills Mall, or Blue Ridge Harley Davidson Area. I would suggets staying out the Hildebran area. White trash town if you ask me. Cop city too.
