Got my shoes tied on today

 

Wow (again).......This has been a busy day. Happy birthday guys! And thanks Opie (I don't know how you spell it?) for bringing another first gen to the crowd! I hope the next meet is better than ever. I need some good news after the sorry *** week that I've had. The good news is I now have an opportunity to explore another career. I think I am going to take the BLET and pursue my long dream of law enforcement . I'll explain at the next meet for those how didn't see the news Thursday. Anywho, it should at least be interesting.

 

Hey Sam, Sorry to hear that you are part of that layoff. I know first hand that it really sucks when you have a family to feed. Hopefully you can take some time and get into a career that will be more fulfilling than another manuf. job.

Decided to finally tear apart the old engine with Stu's help yesterday. Boy that was a boat anchor. I did clean up one of the rotors and housings to use as a show piece. I don't know haw many times I hear someone say "I don't know what one of those engines looks like". After some wire wheel action, and some sanding, I think they cleaned up fairly decsent. If you think the rotor still looks bad now, ask Stu what it looked like when I pulled it out. I still have the rear rotor and housing sitting in the garage uncleaned. I'll try to get some pics of the rest of the junk.

 

 

Ok guys amy and i went to the auto fair today and i was pretty disappointed. The turn out was nice alot of cars but the only mazdas there that i saw were freaking miatas. I think we should make a appearance at the next one this fall. I know that a lot of us have a car that looks as nice or nicer than many of the rust buckets i saw today. I think we should get a club spot this next fall. Would any one be interested in doing this, i know its a long way off but i am going to look in to it.

 

That sounds like a killer idea. If we could get the Georgia guys to come up with us, we could really make a showing. I went out to the garage and took a pic of the "other" rotor and housing.........

Dropped a couple apps off today and found a bad *** road out there in monroe. When I was on it, about halfway down there was a FB parked at someones house...

 

That is nasty looking Sam. wow. Like it was sitting with the ports open to the ocean it was at the bottom of Nice!


Robbie- A club spot sounds sweet. I should be painted by then and be somewhat presentable. I am multicolored now. Worse than before But I am on the rite path....I think.!!

The SA sat for over two years before I got it with the hood off and the carburater off. The intake was like a funnel for the elements.

 

The 7 didn't sell. I guess I'll see you guys sunday. Can't wait.

 

Drove back out to monroe today to see that first gen. Apparently it is an 85 GSL, runs good. Needs paint, but other than that it is all stock minus the cats. Got some pics of it. He is selling it too...

yeah we'll have two black 2nd gens there. Does anyone have an aftermarket intake for an s5 na that I could buy off you at the meet. I'm also looking for some coilovers.
