Well guys, I didn't want to let this thread just fade away. I was just wondering how everyones projects are coming along. Haven't seen some of you guys in a while. We need to all get together sometime and catch up.

 

i'm working with my machinist to fab up something new for our wonderful engines tryin to build a bullet proof motor so my car is down again until i get to test this new engine with hopefully 40+ psi...

i hope to be running before mid winter tho we'll see! hahahahaha

Out from deep Left field.... I should be getting my T78 FD back to normal driving shape again this week when I get my new(to me) PPF.

What's up guys...I just moved to Charlotte from Chapel Hill and just bought my first FD. I'll be driving it down from Ohio on Sunday. I'd love to meet up with some other owners in the area.

Anything planned in the next few weeks?

 

Well.........most of the guys here are currently down with "projects" I live about 30 minuts north above Charlotte. I would like to get together with all the gang, if only we could. Just let us know when are in the neighborhood.

Just got back from picking up my FD in Ohio. Anyone ever come down 77 through the mountains...sweet! I'm just outside of Uptown off Central Ave. near the Fuel Pizza. Sucks that everybody is in rebuild mode when I finally get set up

My mom lives up in Davidson so I'm up north every once in a while. I'll give you all a holler next time i go up there.

 

Thats funny you said that... I bought my 2nd FD in Chicago and drove it all the way back here also. Those roads in the mountains were fun as hell. Except for the damn toll booths. Congrats on getting a working FD!

bad_83... I'd be more than happy to show you my FDs. Mind you the single is still a work in progress.

 

That's ok. The FB has just a little S4 single on it. Funny thing is, most people see the carb, and don't get it. Really messes with people. I'm off work this week, just working on a few cars at the house. I would like to meet up with guys. Just give me a pm when you have time, and I'll give you my number.

I will be free... I might end up taking one of the FDs to the drag strip Sunday up here in Mooresville just for ***** and giggles.

 

Im at UNCC now just moved here in August so I can make it out to some of these meets now. Anything gonna happen this weekend?

 

Well..............I don't know about an official meet, but I was wanting to meet some of the "new" guys in the area. If you guys are going to be free over the weekend, we could meet somewhere for some formal introductions. Just let me know .

Zac....I swear. I think you enjoy just seeing what the limits of a Rotary engine will take. I may be getting hold of a couple of second gens to make one good one out of. If you know someone who might be interested in a SA, I think I'm going to let it go to get funds for the FC projects. I would like to get the "local" guys involved for this weekend if possible. I'll try to get ahold of Rob and Stu, and see if they might come around. I will know more by Friday what the weekend looks like for me. Then we can maybe decide on what day and time we can get together.

I finally got my 80 SA inspected since moving down here and I'm ready to take it out and see folks. Thats is if a 1st gens ok with you. Where do you all usualy meet up in Statesville?

I think Sunday would be the day for me to get up there.
