Use the starter off the 13B. Better yet, if you can pick up one from a second gen you will have a faster cranking speed.

Thanks to all our real troopers who decided to take the time to come out today. I think this has got to be one of the first times the second gens dominated the meet

Looks like a good meet. Sorry I missed it, but I still haven't replaced
the fuel pump since B3R or driven the 7 since.

I did manage to go down to pull apart today, actually for another
vehicle I'm doing some work on but I saw a silver FB there, no engine
but it was the same color as mine and the headlight covers looked
like new. So I snagged the buckets with the covers (cause they were
being stubborn to come off) for $12.00. Told em it was a headlight
bracket

Long those stacatto flames sure sound nasty, looks bad at night too.

1st and 2nd gens are more fun IMHO. to me a third gen is like a mustang, store bought power everywnere and traction to boot, for a 1st or 2nd you have to work for it the lo' fashioned way. on another note, i spoke with RTEK today, and the scoop is that the 2.1 for S5's will be out mid december. it will have all the fetures as the 2.1 for the N/A cars but the adjustability from the S4 2.1 . it is gonna feature a timing lock so us S5 guys caould allways do a boosted bridge application.

my favorite part"
Timing Lock:

Timing Lock feature, when selected, will keep the ECU from adjusting the timing based on coolant temp. This can cause detonation and is suggested only for use by qualified tuners. For racing use only.

this it the answer to all of my issues with my new upcomming engine. who's excited as much as i am?

Ya Andre, they're also coming out with a AFM removal probably sometime next year for the 2.1 as well, they would be really nice!! I'll probably upgrade to the 2.1 sometime this December with some larger secondaries. They're a great deal.

Hella quicker spool. Alot less boost drop than the front mount. The turbo works more effeciently with the top mount. You need to take a ride I think you will likie.

It's not that the intercooler is smaller, it's just that I have alot less plumbing. The front mount just takes more boost to get the same affect. Anthony, I was shocked at how much of a differance the top mount made compared to how it runs now.
