Well technically Jimi, if norton wants to legitimately race there rotary bikes again they have to meet a set amount of 'production' bikes to sell publicly before they get the nod to be badass's on teh circuits. But I agree, if I had the money I would sooooooooo own one...daily the hell out of it and then make sure that the video of the super accident makes it to not only youtube but my eulogy.
Of course they would agree to that, if it puts them back into the racing game then why not? I think the bikes are called Norton NRV 600's and are just as visually appealing as they are fast, in my opinion.
And damn I forgot how much fun DD'ing the NA can be...

Now you gone and hurt my feelings. You'd probably have to trade your FD for one. I notice the price of Subaru Legacys has shot up a bit in this thread, what happened?
man work boots + steel toes = necessary in my line of work.
you know i buy skate board shoes, they've got a super thin sole so its easy to feel the pedals when i drive, does wonders for heel and toe driving and they're a cheap alternative for paying 150 bucks for actual racing shoes. just in case anyone is interested xD
i dont have a bike yet, working on it, gonna have one in TN for the highways and ****. might as well, cant beat 60 MPG, anyone know where to find a rotary bike?

Really, they're not that bad! You just trade electrical nightmares for carburetor nightmares. What's wrong with yours?

FC3STII is the password, old pictures but nothing has changed except the sunroof spoiler is sitting in my garage for being an annoying piece of plastic ****.
185k on the chassis
85k on a 2.2 litre Legacy engine (MUCH better than the 2.5 TRUST ME)
75k on a 2.5 Transmission
5k on exhaust
10k on brakes
GT suspension, sound, and brakes (4 wheel disc)
power everything including sunroof/moonroof, no leaks
5 speed manual (rare in the 2.5GT's)
ABS, PS, AWD
A/C DOES NOT WORK, but it can be fixed, needs a new compressor. Heat does work, had the heater core replaced less than 2 weeks ago. Has a WRX short shifter in it, like 75% improvement over stock... seriously xD
OH and the car is in Connecticut right now, but will be in Tennessee briefly while i look for a job, starting october 1st until sometime October 9th or 10th.

But I'd probably trade either of my cars for it, even my beloved "daily driver" TII. It would be nice to have a reliable AWD for the winter. Definitely would wanna see the engine bay and underside given the fact that it's a yankee and I'm sure it's been winter driven. Good call on Cody's part.
ill grab some tommorow for yall.
im looking to sell really, i need the money to be able to move down there, otherwise... im screwed xD
if you are interested tho, a 2.5 STi engine will bolt right in place, no trouble, you just need to figure out the wiring, and for 1000 bucks i can get you a ready made harness from one of the best in the Subaru aftermarket world, East Coast Swappers, out of Springfield Mass (good friends with teh guys) but that costs roughly 12,500 for an entire swap, NOW, i CAN get you for about 5000, an entire 2.0 STi engine from an older STi, aka, Version 1 through Verion 6 (GC8 body, not the GD).
as it stands
Version I - 250 hp
Version II - 275 hp
Version III - 280 hp
Version IV - 280 hp
Version V - 280 hp
Version VI - 280 hp
you want an absolute sleeper? heres your base, a rather unassuming four door sedan. Ive seen guys do these swaps before, in fact up here its pretty common. East Coast Swappers has a RHD Subaru Legacy GT with a full STi swap in it, in fact RHD is VERY popular in the Subaru world. Why? not sure, probably because its a fairly "easy" swap.
BUT on the other hand, if you want a great cruiser with lots of power options and pretty good gas mileage, here it is, four doors, four seats, 5 speed, SUPER comfortable, great in the snow (like you guys really get that much xD) and overall, a great daily driver, never once has it faulted me, starts everytime, runs everytime reliably.

Yeah, I figured. You don't need another rotary toy. I could sell mine for cash and try to buy that off you but I'm not really in a hurry to get rid of any cars. They're just always up for sale or trade if I get a good offer. Besides, the TII and the bike is all I've been using for transportation lately so I'd be screwed if it rained.
hahaha, yeah, and you have no class M license yet. so if you got pulled over on the bike you would be fucked. but i guess you're used to driving w/ no license anyway.

Eh, I doubt I'd get pulled over. I don't really do anything too stupid on it yet. And I've known people who have gotten speeding tickets before they got their license. I'd go get mine but it's such a pain to sit at the DMV for 3 hours, and the MSF course is $225. I swear, if the state would make it less ridiculous to get a license, then maybe 1/3 of the riders in this state wouldn't be riding without one.

Funny thing was, the only thing I needed was a driver's license for the insurance. And when I got it tagged, they didn't even look at my insurance paperwork. Knox County is pretty lax about that kind of stuff.

Well, if you can't get rid of it by this winter I might still grab it. I suppose I need to get off my *** and get the FB running again, perhaps just to finally sell it off.
