This weekend Im tring to get somepaint on my **** and the fmic functional .

 

I hope your "booth" is heated, it's hard to make the stuff stick when it's this cold out.

 

Ok here are the pictures. The dent in the bottom of the cooler does NOT leak. and the pictures of the bent fins are about the only bent fins on it. There are just a few more in another spot.

If you want I can tear off the foam and get more pictures of the dent butthere is no sharp edges to cause leaks.

yeti- if its not too much trouble bring it to the meet, I'll definitely take a look at it...if only the lines weren't cut!!! ha but the cooler and whats left of the lines looks good in the pics.

lizard- yea I know...its just so frustrating to have a car that you've put literally hundreds of hours into and it STILL looks like *** lol, STILL just occupies space in the driveway, and you STILL have to bum rides to and from school, atlanta, work etc....but isn't that half the nature of a "car guy" lol...or maybe thats just me haha. The idea of heat, a/c, fuel injection, reliability, and possibly a paint job haha are just so enticing...well i guess i could always take out another student loan and buy a volvo or something hahaha wow. i never thought i'd say that.

Dam the park was badass A couple of big pools and some street course ,more vert than anything . My favorite is the oldschool kidney pool .

Thanks... I took them last night. Got up there right after sunset because I didn't have anything better to do.

 

Must of been nice , how were the road conditions?

 

Conditions were good. Everything was dry and traffic was pretty light. There was one cop on the TN side that was on his way out when I passed the dam. Not much else going on up there aside from a few travelers. I don't think I saw a single bike on the Tail itself, either.

 

Thats good I hope this weekend is the same .

Yeah I hear ya... this morning the power steering in my FB was whining like crazy. Looks like the fluid is leaking out of that as well now. My only hope now is that the incredible variety of fluids leaking out of that car will coalesce on the street and in a stroke of rare alchemical anomaly, form a sheet of pure platinum. I could paint the car with that ****. Can you guys imagine a platinum Cheeto? That would be ironic.

Just saw a clip from the Dragon on TLC! It was on Really Wreckless Drivers There was a helmet cam video from a rider leaving Deals Gap and heading onto the TN side. He tried to pass a car on the inside of a turn and met up with a pickup truck. Judging by the road, it looked like the video was taken just before they repaved the NC side. Probably '04 or '05.

I wasn't even watching the show, I was just flipping through and saw a Deals Gap sign. Good timing.
