East Tennessee Rotary Club
Lol....you guys and your fuel talk...
So today I yet again had to leave the conquest at work...im thinking it needs to sit while I trace down whatever issue it has. Its fine once its started and running, but then there are times it just wont fire at all...plugs might be shot, andd I just replaced the wires this afternoon after snapping one of the old ones off at the boot... So looks like im back to DD'ing the 7 again, just like the bitch wants i guess.

yeah, talking bout my shitsubitchi product...the 7 hasnt given me any problems that have ever forced me to leave it anywhere for any reason, and that includes a blown motor and fuel leaks at the old FPD (now deleted) and the primary injector rail.
And only a $280 sound system? I think I have that much in 4 speakers and my head unit in the 7, Im looking at a $900 kenwood sound system, headunit/4 speakers/4 tweeters/10"sub/amp and thats not counting any wiring or MDF/fiberglassing that is going to need to be done in the hatch area for the sub mount, and I may even put in a couple 6x9's in that box to have a great sound system for the conquest....once it runs all the time like its supposed to.

a $280 sound system is better than what it had before, which was nothing. still yet that was more then what i was willing to pay. but it works. think about it bro, thats 900 more bucks you could of donated to whats under the hood.

Psh, you guys and your damn sound systems. You spend all that money so you can sit in a concert by the side of the road while you wait on the towtruck?
I took the speakers OUT of my TII. Damn things were 5 pounds a piece with the amps attached I swear.

someone finally agrees with me on that. if i didnt plan on selling/tradeing the miata i wouldnt of bothered to put the system in it. i would of spent the $280 on an after market exhuast

Sheeit, I told you I didn't care about the system in the Miata. I'd rather get the car for less and have you keep all that stuff. Hell, put it in the Cheeto if you want.
haha, yeah but the conquest is goinng to be a DD soon enough, so creature comforts would be nice since its not really built for cornering like the 7 is, which is why im going to prolly pull the last remnants of my stereo out so I can gain 20-40lbs of weight from the corners.

Creature comforts, heh. I'm going the other direction... I got the bike insured and registered, so I'll be riding it around a lot more. You'd go crazy Derrick... there's no radio at all! Maybe I'll get me an iPod clone or something.
Well I guess it doest really matter, the NA is getting the radio-delete option. And now after going to walmart ive finally gotten a new pair of shoes, boots just got uncomfortable while driving and working since ive blown out the heel in them.

Derrick wore out the soles of his party boots. +10 cool points to the first person who gets the reference. No googling.
I hit a nice bump today... you know when you hit a bump in the road that you didn't see coming, and it about throws you out of your seat? Yeah, imagine that on a bike. Woooo.
So how is everyone? Good? Everyone that was at Lou's last night stagger home okay? Heh.
Hey Gensai, what kinda bike you got?

oh no, its not a matter of wearing out the soles of the boots, the soles still have an inch of hard rubber left, its that my heel has worn out the INSIDE of the boot and the inside is starting to cut into the back of my foot when working. So went to walmart, walked down exactly 10 feet of the first shoe isle I came to, and found a solid black 'skater' type shoe in the right size. I managed to do all this wearing flip-flops btw, so I didnt even get a chance to try my $25 pair of shoes till i got home, an they fit just fine, could have even gone down a half size(bots were 9 1/2 mens, shoes are 9's, could have probably gotten away with an 8 1/2). So now im just looking forward to driving the NA to work in the morning to see just how well they are going to do with pedal work, hopefully worlds better than my boots did, though they worked great for what they cost me....(which if I had to replace them with a new pair, they would cost me 2 brand new nitto's for the conquest....)
man work boots + steel toes = necessary in my line of work.
you know i buy skate board shoes, they've got a super thin sole so its easy to feel the pedals when i drive, does wonders for heel and toe driving and they're a cheap alternative for paying 150 bucks for actual racing shoes. just in case anyone is interested xD
i dont have a bike yet, working on it, gonna have one in TN for the highways and ****. might as well, cant beat 60 MPG, anyone know where to find a rotary bike?

I think we covered the rotorcycle thing... the Suzuki RE-5 only gets 35mpg, and parts are scarce. There's a guy here locally that's got 2.5 of them. Norton also made some production rotary bikes, although I'm not sure how many of them made it stateside. They have a new 600cc rotary race bike that is just ungodly. Look it up on Youtube. Haven't heard if they plan on putting it into production. They started racing it last year. If I were a millionaire, I'd die a fiery death on one of those.
Well technically Jimi, if norton wants to legitimately race there rotary bikes again they have to meet a set amount of 'production' bikes to sell publicly before they get the nod to be badass's on teh circuits. But I agree, if I had the money I would sooooooooo own one...daily the hell out of it and then make sure that the video of the super accident makes it to not only youtube but my eulogy.
