My blood smells like rotary. I think I need sleep and a shower. Maybe both simultaneously. But first, sweet Jeebus... I have to go through all 300 or so pics and videos I shot today.

I went too late I guess. All I saw was one blue fb, about eight fcs, one fd, and 15-20 rx-8.

I did see an accident some cat on a bike swipped a black fc. It appeared that everyone was ok. The damage to the fc was crazy though. Derrick's swipped turbo looked nothing like this and he was hit by a semi. This guy had on paint and probably barely metal left.

Anyway as for me. I had an okay time. I would have had more fun with a leader and/or pack. I kinda wish I didn't go now since it was just me and my girlfriend. Oh well once a year is enough I guess.

Most of the ones I took Friday night didn't come out. Too dark and rainy. No surprise there.

Damn man, you should have cruised with us. We had a blast! The blue FB you saw was Charlie, a.k.a. "Prelude???" on here. I think Cody and I may have passed you on the way out.

The best cars came out in the afternoon. Dream cars. Along with all the rotary goodness, there was an R32 GTR, R34 GTR, some really nice widebody 2nd gen 300ZX's, a 323 GTX, a Lotus Elise, the usual assortment of Miatas and Subies, and we spotted a TA22 first gen Celica on Alcoa Highway. I'm probably forgetting some stuff. About the only thing I didn't see was a Supra.

Well, I had to wait on my girlfriend so I didn't get there until I guess about 6. Like I said I think I would have had a better time if I was with the pack. Oh well..

Oh hey, speaking of the motorcycle crash... I nearly got sideswiped myself on the way back! I saw the rider coming on fast and noticed he was taking some pretty risky lines, so I pulled to the outside of my lane. He whizzed by me with his wheels on the double yellow, leaning far into my lane. He got so close to my door that HE ACTUALLY MOVED MY CAR with the wind from his pass! Had I not moved over to the outside of my lane, he would've been picking my mirror out of his teeth. Retard.

No guys, we didnt miss a thing. We went all the way to the resort in NC and saw everything, hung out up top and talked to several people. We didnt take anypics though as we were to busy talking to everyoone and drooling. But from the sounds of it one of the FCs got ripped open by a bike yesterday, and the widebody gunmetal FD found a guardrail on a beer run, something about rocks on the road and sliding.

Only primer car that I saw, Jeremy! Unless you count that flat black FB.

Could have been the same guy... you try your luck too many times and eventually it'll run out.

Damn Derrick! Those were two of the nicest cars up there. We need to head on over to their forum and snoop some info.

Maybe, ive looked on the other forum, not much for pics yet, but then again i saw cars so meh. But the drive up to the resort was nice, was a rather quick drive back down and to the house aside from getting behind a harley and a pickup that wouldnt pull off for me and a line of 8's

I want to thank First and Hellbent for actually coming out to DGRR. It was nice to see other Knoxville guys at the Village.

The rest of us were at DGRR. We just didn't feel like driving to some hole in the wall town 40 miles away to watch people park and eat.

I'm hoping next year they'll have the event somewhere near Deal's Gap, or at least change the name of it to something more fitting.

There's not much choice. The two options are Fontana Village and Nantahala Village. Fontana were being douchebags and Nantahala gave a great deal. Considering people need somewhere to stay since very very very few are close enough to stay at home at night, it's important to get a good deal. So yeah, closer would be nice, but you work with what you have.

From what I hear, the FC and the biker were both on/near the yellow line. It appears to be that they're both at fault.
